Only to solve the mystery and break a lance for Naarika....
I received a MBK 1680 for repair today...
It looks the same than yours.....
So maybe MBK changed the production line of his MBK Vintage Rollies?!?
It has the same Dial,Case;Bezel washer, etc....
Also the engravings are the same....
The watch came not from Reg.....
So I don't think Reg scammed you.......
Yes I know what you mean but I think its much esaier to have this Comparsions for all Brands....
Sometimes I find this comparsions for different Brands only by hitting the new post button....
..and there are really great posts about it....
Only my two cents ;9
Upps sorry.....
But never browsed the Photograph Area....
Maybe thats the reason why not a lot members post there....
I think to rename it is much better ?
I don't think its a useless Area but hard to find...
Hello Gang,
I think its time for a Comparsion Area Rep To Gen....
So we have all Brands in one Area and Members can Put there comparsion Reviews
in this section
This makes it a lot easier for all....
What do you all think?
So this is my old MBW SD 1665 GW
Mods as follows
Reshaped CG's in and outside
drilled Lugholes
Relumed Dial and hands
Some Varnish on the Dial
Replaced the date wheel with flat top three
Gen T-39
Gen Tube and Gen Vintage Crown
Gen Insert with vintaged pearl
Gen 585 Endlinks
Gen Springbars
He Valve Mod
stripped the color from the caseback and polished the engravings out...
Right GW Caseback for shure
Hollow 93150 midlink Bracelet with nice Clasp
and here are the Pics
A lot of members tried this in the past.
It is possible for watches with no magnification.
On magnification the structure of the Datenumbers
is a bit blurry and this is too visible.
Omega did it with flat top three wheels for the SD
and in my opinion the result is really great and sorry
To say much better than on Ubi wheels.
Maybe a plastic based foil and a good printer will do
the trick.
A thin metallfoil is not really necessary in my opinion
