You will like it. It's very interesting. Longevity on me is an issue but I think it's a worthy buy. Sample it definitely first.
Can't wait for your thoughts on this
I bought Spicebomb today, just wow!!!!!

I get what you mean, I have pretty much sniffed out as many as I could and bought those which suit me best. There will probably be new ones coming out which I will test out and decide on.
I will give Spicebomb another chance next week.
Good call on Aventus, see how the sample works. It is my favourite of all time scent, but that is my ultra subjective opinion given that it does so well in terms of development on my skin (added bonus is that people compliments me from time to time with it too).
Green Irish Tweed is also very nice but perhaps too green for me. I actually prefer Bond No 9s Chez Bond which is similar but a bit more 'loosened up', sweeter even. But when I say sweet, don't think of it as a sweet fragrance per se. I was trying to find a way of describing it better.
Wore this a few days ago, my girlfriend loves this. My colleagues love it. People in the bus come closer to sniff this.
Aventus comes from a brand people love to hate, but this one fragrance is just amazing. I'll never get enough of this.
I agree with Mike, it takes time. I was very confused in the beginning with the notes people would put out there to describe scents. Once you start smelling a few, you start to realise where they are coming from and you also build your own mental/nose vocabulary to decipher how scents truly smell.
Just tried Eau de Lierre by Diptyque, some good stuff. It's bizarrely listed for women, but this is unisex and better on men imo. It's fresh and green, never screams too loud. Very classy.
I agree with PhilFree, Voyage is great for warmer days and certainly a lighter version of Terre. Voyage is so well-made and refined, it's the perfect scent to have when you need something safe, elegant and at the same time something very inviting. Ladies seem to love it on men btw
I am wearing Mona di Orio's Vetyver today. I just love this stuff.
One of my all-time favourite scents. Perfect in all aspects.
They also just released:

I am wearing Nasomatto Absinth today.
I don't think combining scents makes a scent last longer per se. The usual base notes used for longevity are the woodier/greener scents ranging from cedar wood to oak moss. There are always effective ways to try and get more usage out of any scent by buying scentless lotion and applying it gently on the areas you spray your cologne. You can try that.
Equally, try and buy fragrances with higher concentration of perfume oils. They are often listed as EDP (Eau de Parfum), they last an extra 2/3 hours perhaps.
What kind of scents do you like? We could try and name a few that may interest you.
Glad you love this stuff . Aventus and an IWC go well together haha
I am wearing a dab of Attar Al Kaaba today. Such an intense yet smooth fragrance.
