Thanks The Zigmeister, always great to see your takedown/repair posts.
It reminds me of my first gen Rolex purchase nearly 20 years ago; a 1940's manual "Army" model, that watch is so tiny my wife wears it now.

May I ask what the fees were, how much you sent, and where you were sending it from?
K,
The fees vary based upon your method of payment, dollar amount and where you're based, take a look at their website. It's certainly less than WU.

Does DSN accept moneybookers anymore?
He does K, I just bought a dial from him about a week ago.

Nice review Andrew!
I am personally not a fan of fantasy watches either but I really enjoy mine and it always puts a grin on my face when I flip it over to glance at the movement.

Great idea for a topic B-T, there are some fantastic photos, here's my two (not so fantastic photos...):

Looks great to me Slai!
IMHO a black strap is too predictable and tans too stark a contrast.

My DSN 201A on PAV 90 will get some wrist time until it gets the dial swapped for a better one.

Dluddy, I LOVE YOUR TASTE IN WATCHES!!
I think you, TMG, Hambone, Euno and Robertk of all the members here never have put a foot wrong, in my eyes.
Thanks for the kind compliment Victoria and to be included in such distinguished company!

Thinking more about it, BT has a really good point... less is more. The old KISS principle.

Where are you guys thinking of meeting up, sounds like fun! A little south of SR would work better for me too.

LR,
If your talking vintage; gen 1680 dials do not fit in MBW/MKB's without trimming it down a little, it's about 1mm too large if you're thinking about a date sub. No date dials are 26mm and drops right in.
Along the lines of TWS said, Clarks on ebay sells very accurate ETA sub hands.
Good luck!

Pretty easy (and boring I know); mostly Vintage Rolex sports models and a smattering of new and old Panerai.

Nice Pix Nanuq. There's nothing like time and exposure.

Uh Monday

Certainly a better bezel insert would help, and perhaps a larger crown- the current one is 6mm. But the nice thing about these vintage reps is that no one knows anything about them. You could take this watch and "age" it and probably never be called out. It's just an old sub you got from Gramps!
These new models also appear to be a different case, flat sides not curved like the first batch of Bond re-releases. I think the bezel is a step closer too, the insert is another story but easy to address.
Perhaps this is a version 2, I noticed none of those "re-release" models are on the website anymore

One of my favourite watches, and shots in the Wristies. Alongside Hambone's pantsleg HBB shot.
Thanks V, it's also one of the few genunie watches I still actually own
