Ooh, I didn't realise that. Heard it was closer to $40.
THANK YOU, TMG! I forget if your straps are 24 or 26, but I'll wear them just the same.

Victoria,
WU is easy to pay by credit card online and they seem to have drop their prices, its only ~$14 to send $350 to China as an example.
Congrats on the DSN fiddy!

Rek,
Try www.westcoastime.com
Update: BAH! I got 3 screws to budge and moved the fine tuning inside the clasp to the last hole, the bracelet is still a bit big & the clasp is not centered, so.....Shopping Time!
I've never bought NATO straps before, can anyone recommend a good source please?
I'd like to get the classic Bond black/gray and then mebbe something a bit more exuberant, such as regimental stripes?
Thanks much.

Yup, mine was the same -bent at nearly 45 degrees. As Freddy said there are various depths with end links, if you have extras try them out, the same holds true for gen end links too especially vintage.

Hello Gang,
after i've done my 5513 and claimed that i won't do lume the dial ,
i decided to do it,to become a nice patina on the markers ....
So here we go
Looks really nice Tribal!

I stopped at the pistol range on the way home today - wearing my Ferrari Pam chrono. I only shot about 100 rounds. On the drive home, I noticed that the minute hand counter on the chrono was pointing to 19 minutes. And now it won't reset. Fun. Guess it didn't like the weaver stance.
Good heads up Section8, I guess I always wear a beater quartz Marathon shooting and don't give it a thought.

Great choice ! Fabulous choice
Thanks Stephane, I thought you'd like that shot. One of these days my 5517 will be completed (going on 9 months) and added to the vintage stable.

I've been neglecting the Rolex's for a while so this is the line-up for the next couple of days

Nice work Tribal! Thanks for sharing.

CK, a rivet model would be accurate. Some of the collectors here sell a decent version separately, just ask.

Hell no

This is a guess but I'll say the top row 2nd & 3rd from the left are dups; they have the same SEL bracelets and as far as I can tell the same dials. Boy if this is your buddies collection Nanuq, how does he feel about loaning things out
I'm sure Ubi knows!
Don't know, but if you wnat to sell the third one in the second row, please sent me a PM!!1655fan, these are genuines

Some how i think most of these will end up on bond Natos.
Yes, the way it should be
-
Fantastic PP, that 1680 looks like it went diving daily for a decade!
The dial looks like the same one NDT offers on ebay, I believe they're out of Vietanm too

Beautiful work and effort P!

Alant,
The forum is a huge wealth of pictures and info about the MBW vintage pieces. Be prepared to do a lot of reading and viewing , there are a lot of beautiful vintage MBW's pieces the members have here.
TTK is the main source for them.
Here's a little more to whet your appetite. These are my Double Red and White 1665's.

I'm with ya Pug, NATO's are some of the most comfortable straps.
Hey, variety is the spice of life, why does it have to be either or... I've lost count of haw many NATO, Zulu, or Tropic straps I have, it's nice to mix it up a bit.
I also think the tire tread rubber strap would look pretty cool on a Monster (can't find a pix of it right now)
-
I guess you could look at it as spending the extra $$ on a better dial since you got such a deal on the watch -of course, I can often find an easy way to justify something
-
Are they any good? is he any good?
Andy,
He's a she actually and they're pretty good dials, but pricey for a redial -I wouldn't pay the asking price She has a captive audience though; since she offers a selection you can't readily find. Some dials seem to be more accurate than others. As for dealing with NDT, great communication and prompt shipping.
-
Which seller Andy???
-
Expensive, but accurate...
Besides, when the watch itself is this cheap, why not go crazy on the extras
I'm with ya TeeJay. Aside from that the MBW uses the thicker 5513 case.
-
Olreon,
The overlay will probably fit.
These topics may or may not be helpful for you.
I've gone crosseyed over my project PM if you have any specific questions.
