  1. Nice shots.
  2. No sweat--good luck.
  3. Nice piece. Oddly, looking at your decor is making me hungry...
  4. I just had a slew of RWG threads open in separate windows while out grabbing lunch, until (I'm guessing) my cat decided to step on the keyboard or something, and now I come back to find Firefox shut down. Needless to say, I don't care to fish through which threads I was looking at, but I did come across this picture: ...and was wondering if this was from the seller "Honpo", and if so--forgive the noobness--how would I go about acquiring this piece? Long and short of it: I'm just getting into the classic Daytonas--not sure if this piece is technically a "Newman"--and want a relatively good one with this cream dial, WITHOUT screw-down pushers and without dropping a small fortune (after having my third 116520 crap-out last week, due to a slipping cannon pin...and not the seconds transfer gear...) and would like to answers to a few questions: 1) Anyone know if this is the ubiquitous model # 6235? If not, which model number would this be? 2) How accurate to gen is this piece? 3) If it is relatively accurate (subdial spacing, dial print, case, etc.), how do I go about purchasing it? 4) Would it still look accurate to gen, on a Rolex riveted style bracelet, and more importantly, would it fit? 5) Would this be a 7750 movement or one of the supposed lemania copies, and how reliable is the movement? I see the website watermaked on the pic, but my Hiragana reading is rusty and my Kanji is practically non-existent. If the answer to most of the questions leads the experts to believe this specific rep to be a piece of garbage, can one of the true experts on older Daytonas point me in the direction of one with this dial that is good? I know this seems a bit much for a tenured member, but from Ubi to Spin to others, I know there's a great wealth of knowledge on these boards and both need and appreciate their assistance. Thanks guys, Todd
  5. That's good to know. Thanks again, BT.
  6. If you can't find a US member with one (or Craigslist), call around to the Panerai AD's & tell them you broke/destroyed yours & want to buy a new one. That worked with my wood Omega set once. Or go to the trading section of watchnet.com. & query "panerai box".
  7. "New blue model" as in the one with the red "Seamaster" dial, or "new blue model" as in both blue dial SMP chronos have larger hands?
  8. Ahh, this is true. I'll email the pic to my friend Raj to see if he can read it.
  9. Words from a t-shirt reading, "F*ck the color blind".
  10. So this is just dots to you guys?
  11. I guess I should have actually enlarged OP's photographs.
  12. Having Punjabi Sikh friends, I'm not familiar with the way Sanskrit is written by Muslims, but that font looks a bit like Thai to me: She might be copying one of Angelina Jolie's tacky tats?..
  13. Interesting. Nice with the AR. But personally, I think the blue makes Omega's divers watches. When I think "black", I think Rolex Divers watches. Or Al Sharpton.
  14. It was in an email from tshirthell.com.
  15. I believe (aside from the elementary principle of basic supply & demand) the two main sources that eat the majority of the profit from these pieces, thus the two main factors contributing to their prices are: 1, the "factories"--and them charging enough to cover what they feel is worth the risk of legal liability for actively committing copyright infringement, and 2, the dealers (the factory's "salesmen") who--unlike most industries salesmen--are heavily involved and consistently influential in what their respective factories are producing.
  16. What binder/varnish (liquid) are you using to mix? Are you mixing at a 1-to-1 ratio? Different colors have different size grains too, don't forget, and the larger (more coarse) the grain, the brighter the lume glows.
  17. Yeah, what the hell; good enough. No point in being too picky.
  18. Love it!!
  19. I actually liked my rep better than the gen--the numbering on the bezel insert is more crisp and the band's edges are less sharp. I just wish they came with the proper date-wheels
  20. Having owned both the rep and gen: I think I'm springing for the old model. I owned a gorgeous SMP rep that I bought in '06 and to this day regret selling it, last year: And after an obsessively absurd amount of deliberation, I decided to go with the older version, again. I love the steel Ohm and hour markers and the color scheme of the newer one, but until the manufacturers can sort out that dial, I have to say I'm stuck on the "simplicity" of the older dial. Since it's been 3 years since I bought one, I'll post pics of my review when it arrives. We'll see if the sharpness of the case & band stand up to the original model.
  21. www.pornstarorpotato.com Good luck.
  22. Stop breaking the pills in half; take the full dose.
  23. Is that an old Jag straight 6?
  24. Richard Preston, grab your pad & pencil.
