  1. On a different note, does anyone else think this looks like Lou Reed? I know it's Travolta, but when that small...
  2. A Christmas bump for those who don't have it yet.
  3. Since I've gotten a slew of PMs on 3 different boards for this... I believe the older/vintage subs take the 315-5513-1-I New SDs take the 315-16660-1-I Modern subs take the 315-16800-1-I LV subs take the 315-16800-GRN-I TT blue subs take the 315-16808-2-I and TT black subs take the 315-16808-1-I
  4. One for older SDs, one for modern SDs. Yes, pearl is the same, varnish & all.
  5. Hmmm...If a cheap aftermarket sapphire fits the new SD rep, a gen SD sapphire would fit too...
  6. The SD only comes in black. I do all my mods.
  7. Dawn wasn't present, but I did have the new Sea Dweller (fully modded) on my wrist--to check the new insert's size--and made no mention of its manufactured origin. Didn't look like it raised any doubts though.
  8. Here are some older pics for comparison. Here's Jeweleryoulet: Here's a previous one from Florida watch & jewelers: The main turn on about the new ones are the pearl and the insert's skinnier font.
  9. The ones I saw today look a little better than that one. Paint is smooth & even, metal is flat (where watchmaterial's had a slight bowing to it), pearl is above & beyond, and font-width/spacing is phenomenal. Looks 100 times better that any other aftermarket I've seen. I'd post pics, but camera's out on loan. He's now out of Sea Dweller inserts, btw; the rest are in in two weeks:)
  10. Stopping in today to pick them up in person.
  11. http://24.227.47.211/adn62/pc-177-32-gener...-for-rolex.aspx Enjoy.
  12. No, because they're only middle-men/salesmen and not the manufacturer.
  13. I say try the Omega Seamaster Professional Chronograph. Mine tested solid to 10 ATMs fresh from the box--and that was before I had greased/sealed it--and it's been down to almost 100 ft. I'd love to see if the HEV is functioning on this model as well.

  15. Buy a gen Sea Dweller kit off eBay. Use the real diver's extension--it fits. Only $25...
  16. Write the dealer & request a new bracelet. At worst, you'll have to pay a measly $40.
  17. Any pics/vids yet?
  18. The entire insert. https://www.watchmaterial.com/viewitem.asp?idProduct=358
  19. I don't know how accurate other people's measurements are, but I've read multiple readings from this new SD, which is odd considering they're all manufactured by the same source; but there you go... I only have an old style, hand-me-down analog micrometer--not a digital one as I've never had the use for one--but they appear to be damn near the same--maybe 1/10 of a mm off, but it could just be my watch.
  20. Glows good even out of the dark,
  21. For what it's worth, the etching @ 6 is solid lines, and not dots, as it should be, which would make it less noticeable. I agree on the etching though--on mine you really can't notice it on the front of the crystal itself, but it's really noticeable on the beveled edge of the crystal, as the shape tends to magnify it from that angle. It is, however, much more prominent in the photos than it is looking at the actual watch head on.
  22. Here's the update I promised--shot outside in better light.
  23. Lol--I picture your walrus screaming that at me in your avatar...
