  1. damn,, I'm going to have to get me one of those V Straps! So Nice! Changing to this one for tomorrow.
  2. Still trying to find the "Any Key" button aren't you Ken
  3. I'm not part of the RWG welcoming committee (they keep me locked up) but you have found a great forum, a lot of info here and members who are willing to help. Dive in head first and you will be hooked like the rest of us. d4m
  4. I'm positive TwoTone is almost 80, I recall a birthday recently where we pitched in on a 50X cyclops for his rollie. I think there was a poll a while back with a similar question, you can get a good idea of the ages of most here in that.
  5. @slai, You do not need to give me another reason to spend more money!! If I sent this off to The Zigmeister it would be the end of my marriage! My wife has turned into the watch nazi, "No watch for you!".. I'm being cut off if I spend another dime (on both things most important,, watches and... well.. you know)
  6. I measured my 005 and my 192 and got 53mm like sssurfer. Also measured my 183 (45mm) and it measured 50.65mm from strap holder thingy to same.
  7. when I click the link it takes me to ebay but says the page is not responding, maybe an error on the page or with the link.
  8. I know this is true on the 6497 but The Zigmeister, do you find that this is true with other movements, say... a 7750 for example? Thanks,
  9. @rocket, Man.. that is sweet! I love that watch! I simply cannot take this off my wrist.
  10. Step #1 (as someone previously mentioned) is Ask the Dealer, but the main reason is to find out who they want you to use when shipping it back. There was an issue on RWI recently when someone sent a watch back but decided to take it upon himself to send it via FedEx. The dealer did not know (I think it was Angus), the member started a thread about "is Angus going to scam me, he says he did not get the watch", but apparently Angus needed to pick it up from the local office yet he had no idea it was there, you see the problem?? See which method the dealer wants you to use when shipping it back. I've shipped back to china 3 times without any problem using usps international priority mail, two of the occasions I sent multiple items back, I declare "broken appliance timer" on the customs form, lol.. Good luck!
  11. Nothing but Cousteau this weekend!
  12. It wears different on my wrist than the panerai I own. It is pushing down on a pressure point or something because I can really feel myself wearing it and my wrist get's tired after a while. I'm pretty happy with it. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.
  13. What the [censored]! I cant even say [censored] ? What about [censored] or [censored]?
  14. I don't get to publicly address issues where members want to leave based on an event like this but hell, I get to dabble with my opinion over here on RWG. My opinion may sound RWI'ish but it is what it is (my opinion) but if members are threatening to leave over this (not this thread but what it addresses) that would be a sad and silly act on their part. IMO, something has been bothering them more than this because this is silly stuff yet they choose to use this as an excuse to voice their frustration. It is most likely burnout but burnout can be multi-faceted. I probably care to much which is why comments like this [censored] me off (as an administrator). But I've been wrong before. Please flame gently
  15. I now take back all the bad things I said about super reps. I'm in love with this watch. I have a new TAG Aquaracer on the way that I think I'll just sell it when it arrives because it simply will not compete with this IWC for my wrist time. I'm still practicing taking decent photos so please be kind and enjoy my new watch with me.
  16. A PM says "I" feel .... a thread gives the opportunity to show the communities thoughts. Also, please review Andreww's post, he does not say VB so blame should not be his for this, and if it was that obvious who he was talking about, maybe there really is a problem?
  17. I am guilty of reading the first post of the thread and jumping to the quick reply. Ahh.. I see now what is going on.... I'll exit stage left and leave this one alone. RWG member politics.... Based on my quote above ^^ it appears that I thinking the same as you and others on this issue.
  18. *Bump* almost forgot.. and Ok, really though, andreww, I think you are correct in the aspect that people are making posts with very little content. But, most of the time it is not without purpose. Yes, we will see people (RWI & RWC) who post to get to a minimum post count so they can sell/trade, but.. more common and less tacky are people who are noobs and their intent is to become active in the forum. Most do not know much about replica watches but are trying to become knowledgeable and partaking in discussion is one of the best ways to do this. From an administrative standpoint (because we use post count for selling and we try to look at content) we usually see a progression in intelligent conversation, but.. as we see sometimes.. this may not happen and that IMO is when this becomes a big issue. *Bumps*, That's nice!, Great Transaction with blahblah, etc... should end rather quickly for a noob, and if continued simply becomes clutter that the community just does not really want to see (or at least me anyway). When I have seen a trend from members like this I have sent a nice but direct pm asking when we would see a watch review or quality content as we are a little heavy with the kind of posts that they are leaving behind. Found some diamonds in the rough as well as asshats with no agends other than to sell (they would create another account once caught padding post counts). Anyway,, sorry for the long reply in this thread.. just a topic I'm a little familiar with and thought I might offer a different view on it. d4m
  19. Had to go with my "pumpkin" today!
  20. Wearing for now.. waiting for a new Aquaracer, better get my camera back out.. pvd on a savage british tan stichless strap.
  21. When people start paying upwards of $450-$500 for a replica I think you are already setting yourself up for disappointment. Why?? Because your expectation (deep down your hoping) that for $450+ you will receive something that is 200% better (cuz it cost 200% more) than the Omega UPO that you purchased or the...__(fill in)__ that is your favorite $200-$250 watch. It is just not the case unless you purchased something that has been modded. I find myself agreeing with Neil in saying that a Ferrari or the new Corum is on my radar far quicker than a Cousteau. I'm trying a Tag Aquaracer blue dial to see if it get's me off. If not, I'm going straight to the Corum.
  22. It's Sunday for me but the weekend isnt over.. I'll go ahead and be late to the party.
  23. I purchased my UPO from Trevor. I'm very happy with it, recieved it as described. I stopped watching the price change after I received mine, he had advertised these at an intro price of $170 or $165 (cant remember) it was back early in the year. I would be very surprised if you could get this for $200 right now. The prices of these have jumped through the roof. I went to purchase a black one and (once again) told that the ETA movements have increased in price. I cant say that I was comfortable with the transaction.. I am still reluctant to do business with him which is why I have not.
  24. Deployment - Deployant
