No, i love my UPO. I just wanted to share that the UPO:s have been subject to some downgrades. And the non beveled date window is for me a bigger tell than the happy feet logo. Gen dial considered, matching hands. But that's it. For the matter of my mental health I find gens kind of booring as a hobby, this is much better The pursuit after something really high quality is more fun than to just hand out a huge amount of money for it. /Furu

Just spotted a few irritating details sitting here looking at old UPO reviews, gen pics and my own UPO. We seems to have the same version and there are some small differences from (probably) earlier UPO:s. - No bevel around the date window. (argh!!!) - Our font for the 6, 9 and 12's is lacking the small, small serifs. - Still happy feets of cause. I've also realised that my crystal is a bit tilted in it's position, ever so little.

Haha those hands really are 'sword' hands , sad thing about the crown. Hope everything sorts out fine.

Found the answer myself: Tactical are made to minimize reflections, for tactical use. Rings are for example PVD.

Tanks for the input db2, yeah Ubi also recomended the Maratac products. What's the difference between 'Tactical' and 'Zulu'? Looks really good, I like how the excess strap folds back.

Yesterday i held a gen mid 80's Pepsi GMT, it was beautifully aged and well used. So today i just had to do some work to my new 1680 rep. I took some photos along the way, thought I'd share them with you. So this is were i started: Then i masked out the crystal. The next step was hurtful, but after the first few scratches it was totally fun: This is what the bezel assembly looked like, not exactly gen-like: A good way to fit the bezel insert, the 29mm was a perfect fit: Sadly enough the weather was cloudy so the results are not so apparent, but trust me those screws did their job. Kinda finished, the small parts of glue are now long gone, sadly my glue was a bit thick so the insert sits a bit high, going to fix that later: With the bracelet on, think I'm going to buy a black/grey bond style nato for this one: In summary i had a very fun time modding this watch, and the budget still is a neat 68

James May also has one, although the orange version. (not in this clip) I think, not shure, Clarkson had another Omega in previous seasons, a bond SMP.
