  1. Wow...this is one of Hublot's better designs, IMO. Unfortunately...the entire case should be microbead blasted...except for the case finish, the rep looks fantastic if you were not comparing to the gen.

  3. I was thinking the same thing...I was hoping some1 would do this mod first...one would only have to dull the paint with some light brushing.
  4. I got mine from Trusty's sister site. Last time I checked, Josh only carried the gold version of this watch with a decent bracelet and swiss movement. The SS version seemed like a earlier version. I got mine from Trusty's sister site. Last time I checked, Josh only carried the gold version of this watch with a decent bracelet and swiss movement. His SS version seemed like a earlier version.
  5. Seems like the movement would be impossible to rep. I'd settle for a better logo, more quality, and recessed bezel screws. I guess one could slap the dial and movement in a good MBW jumbo case and have a decent improvement.
  6. I think they fit the reps too snugly...its sooooo hard getting some straps to fit.
  7. No, I don't think there is a solid case-back version. The gen also does not have a solid case-back version. AP wanted to show case their newest in-house caliber 3120 movement so the gen only comes in a see-thru caseback.
  8. Here are a couple of lume shots of the superlumed 15300's that I forgot to post. Pics are silver 15300, blue 15300, SMP with gen dial.
  9. I'm finally posting some pics of my two 15300's. These are the latest models out with very decent bracelets that match almost perfectly with the watch head. When the 15300 first came out, the factories placed the bracelet from the 36mm RO's on the new 39mm RO replicas and it just looked horrible. Now there is a new clasp which is somewhat comfortable and sits on the wrists much better. The pics took so long because I wanted to superlume the dials and hands, and I ran out of Tritec binder...I've finally found a decent substitute. Anyways...a comparison of 1 layer of superlume (blue dial) and non-modded factory dials (silver dial; lume is there but very weak). First a pic of the 15300 dials (blue and silver). One nice touch is that there is white paint between the AP logo...the gen has lume between the A and P...but the older reps had nothing. Now for the comparison after everything is assembled. The new 15300 have the same case thickness as the jumbo. As some people recall, some of the past RO reps were a bit thick compared to the gen. my beloved jumbo...it looks so much better because of the chief DAR. Blue 15300: Silver 15300: Comparison of the backs: Comparison of the bracelets. Notice that the back of my jumbo is all scratched...that's a mod to make the bracelet fit better...you just have to file down the edges of the two links connecting each bracelet segment together. The 15300 bracelets did not require any filing (or at least I have not gotten to it yet) Overall the brushed steel on the jumbo is finer than that of the 15300s. Overall, the jumbo's quality is better but the 15300s are VERY nice watches, overall. Mine come with an asian 21J movement. Just a peak of my lume work on a MBW ROO sec 9 compared to a gen SMP dialed rep.
  10. How is it on small wrists? I'm very tempted to get a Sinn but I read that u need at least 6.5 wrists with that strap.
  11. Better pic of the rep....there is print on the dial:
  12. Nice....did they fix the hands too? The hands look better....
  13. To tear apart a fine watch for an AP franken with an incorrect case size would be a shame. The concord looks great
  14. PVD U2 is out on Josh's and King's sites....I'm sure a PVD U1 is soon to follow.
  15. I have the new chrono version with the red lettering and I love it...the raised omega logo is nice (although I hate the raised feet) and the red lettering looks great. The silver outline around the markers are a bit thick. Although I have a spare gen old-style dial, I'm leaving the rep dial in (with superlume) due to the distinction of the red lettering. I stuck in a gen crown and tube and it looks really good overall.
  16. yes...the gen is around 26-30K but I wonder if it can appreciate like the EOD and the RO chrono New York.
  17. thanks for the pics....this is going to have to be my next purchase.
  18. The more expensive versions list the crystal as sapphire while these are mineral.
  19. 20K would be a reasonable good price for a RG ROO. What site was the watch listed?
  20. Wow....very nice work. U went the extra mile with the plating
  21. Great review...one issue...Puretime lists his watch with correct sec hand as being Titanium case. Strange if this were true.
  22. Listed on Josh's site. I'm sort of tempted to get this one.
  23. Very sweet...now use a red sharpie to outline the 8. Damn, I wish the factories would come out with the Orchard!
  24. the pics are definitely of a gen watch....question is if those are the actual pics of the watch the OP will be getting. With the parts out today, its possible to create a fraken watch with all the flaws fixed for under 5K, IMO.
  25. 1) look for crown and pushers not lining up. 2) look at date window position 3) look at hands (center part that attaches to post...gen hands' centers are not as wide as rep.) 4) check the lume of course there is an expensive 1:1 copy out there that is very hard to distinguish since gen parts are used. open it up and check the movement. that would be a sweet purchase. good luck.
