  1. Ohhhh... I saw your new tiny hand! That took that watch up several notches! I'm still collecting 1675 parts myself. I have bezels, inserts, dials for GMT's. I think this will be long term project. Yes tiny details, my 1665 recently upgraded with working hev..I thought I was almost done..now I need an insert and then off the zig for lume. Your right, that 1% seems to be the big expense doesn't it? I've been wearing this 5512 now a few hours...driving around doing errends. How did I even wear this watch before? Lol
  2. Ty M I posted about it in the R forum. Love the color of that GENUINE speedy too!
  3. New insert
  4. You are so right Nanuq, I screwed up ordering these parts, I held back a gen T19 for it and thought I had sent it to J for this build. When he got to finishing it he had no crystal. After putting him through a grinder (I am an idiot...poor J! ) we figured it out and he improvised.... Anyway this is an SK crystal and I hate the profile and it's gonna nag at me until I get a gen in her. It is also gonna nag me now that I have experienced this...my 1665 GW has a thin lumi and now I must get a tritium like this one for it!...it never ends!
  5. I exaggerated a bit... lol I got the lumi in a package deal, and depending on how I look at it.. 190-260$ But it didn't bother me as I have had such luck with inserts, I have bought so many from 50-100$ The tritium was 150$ shipped...and was delivered to me in two days. If you look at the Rolex package by the "X" ..... brown and discolored.....the pearl had rested there according to the seller. Installed
  6. Glad that worked out Super, I like mine the light blue that it is.. but I know why you didn't as most gens are dark blue.
  7. The only one I know for sure is Phong or his son on eBay His son has ten in stock and they are 95$ Rumor was Gary at nostagia2000 was developing a Clark version. You might email him direct and see if that's true. Those are all I know of. I saw a gen awhile back on VRM for 250$.
  8. That would be 100% true..lol
  9. I agree, seeing a 16610 in the wild with AR on the cyclops is gonna be a rare event. They may be replacing them at service in many cases, but they will have a ton of non AR crystals to use up first. In ten years, yes...we will see lot's of AR cyclops, but not now.
  10. Mighty nice combo Akira! Tudor today for me
  11. Look what I found...... This will be this weekends project for my 5512. It's amazing the difference between a nos service lumi insert..and a nos tritium insert Interestingly....I got lucky and paid half for the tritium insert than I did for the lumi...and on the board I found it.....it had been there for two weeks and no bites!
  12. Woot! Awesome Steve! That came out great
  13. Science has proven women prefer lugholes, this has been demonstrated time and time again. Without question...keep the 1680, you will thank me later.
  14. Again dammit
  15. Where's my club when I need it!
  16. If you decide to stay with the low beat 2846, there's an eBay seller in Switzerland that sells nos 2846's for 99$ shipped. These are clean new movements. Both sneed and myself have purchased several. Sneed has dropped one into his gmt and added the existing gmt module with no issues. Send me a pm if you need more info.
  17. My 5512 supporting my 702 crown Does your 703 that you thought was a 702 look this thin? That's what appeals to me about the 702...
  18. wearing my 5512 support system for my 702 crown
  19. 702 is a totally different design and you will need a 702 tube to work with your 702 crown.
  20. There are a few sellers on eBay that offer 3m polishing papers in assortments. They are not too expensive and handy for many things..like crystals
  21. 6542?
  22. I can't tell if that's a cyclops or not, but no crown guards.....GMT? I've read he has a collection in the hundreds..but usually just wears an old Explorer. Anyway..thought it was a cool watch.
