No, its not going to be cheap. I would have thought that the magnification would be alright with a gen crystal? Another route would be not to get the case. Just the changing of dial, hands and crystal.
I think the gen Hublot does have or offer leather or alligator straps. To make one is not that simple, I think. there is no springbar. the strap is attached to the watch via the 2 screws that you see on the metal piece in between the lugs. so besides the cut-off, you will need 2 holes on the strap. I think AP bands did announce they do intend to make one but not sure if this is out already or not.
As far as I know, the Pam 88 and 89 uses a A7750 movement modded to have a GMT function. Hence the sunken DW problem. Was wondering if using a Swiss ETA7750 would solve this problem or can it even be used? Any thoughts or advice on this? Thanks.
Thanks for the comparison pics. Actually, it seems that both are about the same!
So maybe the ultimate dial is not too bad.
when the gen dial arrvies, I will take a pic of the ultimate, DSN and gen dial for comparison.
Hi Archibld,
No unfortunately, the so-called best version does not have any bevelling on the date window. I think DSN latest 88 dial has it but not the one that I got. It really spoils what I think is a pretty good dial.
I think there was amember that was selling the 40mm white dials for a reasoanble price. Not sure if its still there but it would make a great 40mm Pam.
Hi Kruzer,
Thanks for the opinion. I do think as well the Rep dial is great but its just the DW bothers me. there does not seem to be any beveling on it. The price is actually not too bad (at least I thnk its not too bad). Sending you a pm.
Hi,
Need help from Pam experts if the gen Pam 88 dial will fit the latest ultimate Pam 88? Have been offered the gen dial and hands so was wondering if this will work? Please any opinions and advice on this will be appreciated.
Thanks
Mark
Yes,
Bougt a few from them. Most of my Seikos are bought there. The boss of the shop is quite knowledgeable on Seikos. One thing though, he gives more discount when you are there to buy from his shop. May be he is not an AD but he does stamp the warranty card and I have had no problem with getting some issues fixed at the Seiko Agnet in Singapore.
maybe you can try this place?

They are an authorised dealer. They have a shop in Chinatown, Singapore as well as an online shop! Their prices I believe are not bad! Bought a few from them.
Hey,
Nice prices!
Just strange when the Deep Sea Dweller is only around $8100! What's the price over in the US or Europe? My AD says the Deep Sea price has dropeed but the GMTII is still the same. Interesting thing is, the SS steel version is always more popular!
I really need the advice of Rolex experts. I have been offered a BNIB Rolex GMT II SS from my AD. Comes with all boxes and papers and price is around $7200. My main concern is this. If I do not keep it, will I be able to sell it and recoup my outlay? I am asking because I have bought a GMT II 2 tone before last year. Sold it as I could not take the 2 tone. Been getting interested in Rolexes recently and I want to give this a try so need opinions and advice. Need to make a decision within the next few days so would really appreciate any input.
Thanks
Mark
I believe those with scratches and imperfections are display watches. These ae mostly not foe sale. They are meant to be handled by customers. If you want one, they get a brand new one for you! At least thats how it is in my case.
Having said that, these display watches are also often sold at a much higher discounts.
