  1. Whew! This is really too much. Will have to make this my first purchase for 2009! Can I just ask as I noticed this one has a brushed caseback. Is the caseback supposed to be polished or brushed!
  2. I agree with you. Ony place I know where you can still feel relatively safe walking the streets alone in the middle of the night. However, yuo sure on the caning bro? I thought it was robbery, you get caned but for theft as well? I am actually curious how he managed to move out so many watches on a public holiday without rousing anyone's curiousity. Whare are the so-called security in the mall? 300 over watches ! Did they take the boxes as well?
  3. Hi Kye Lin, You have his contact number?
  4. I have been reading this thread with a lot of interest. I have looking in getting a GMT Pam and the new Pam 88 from the cartel, the so called best version is really good. Yes, a bit expensive. There seems to be another problem too! the Date windwo cut-out is too small. I took this pic from a member from RG on his "Best Version" Pam 88. As you can see, the numerals on the DW is obstructed. Not sure if this is a one-off or a stock issue. Other than that, I think it is very good!

    Review

Very infomative! Thanks for doing this. Been waiting for a member to review this watch before I get it. Its a beautiful watch! Too bad on the movement though!
  6. Beautiful work as always! This definitely makes me feel like getting a Deep Sea!
  7. Hi, I read the news too! Can't believe this happend in Raffles City and no one noticed!
  8. Yes there is one I know of. Very good and reliable dealer. Carry most stuff of the dealers here. PM me if you interested and I will give you his contact. Mark
  9. my concern is more on the fact that if you buy from an AD with a proper warranty, you could always send the watch for servicing, polishing during the warranty period. And during the rare chance that it does break down, it can be serviced directly by the manufacturer. For a watch from Jomas, everything has to be sent to them and if you do send to a distributor locally, the charges will be quite high. Added to the fact that if you ever want to sell the watch, the value will be lower due to lack of proper papers. These factors to me are important! furthermore, to me at least, it is not that much cheaper! So I will still go to the AD.
  10. I don't know. Just do not feel comfortable with their warranty clause. 'the price is great, agreed.
  11. This site has always had good disconts. It is very tempting but you might want to check out the warranty. It does not offer manufacturer warranty. Only their own!
  12. I would be interested if the dial is good. Would love to see pics first. Good luck! Will be watching ths thread closely!
  13. I am actually interested in getting a modded BR01-92 as well. The orange dial. I think that the must have mods on this watch would be a relume. Kent Parks of Everest Watches can do a very good orange lume, member Avitt can do a fantastic DLC coating and of course, you need to get the sapphire crystal double AR by Cheiftang!

    New 111h

That is a beauty, my friend! Makes me so happy I did not sell mine! Once its fixed up, I hope it will be as nce as yours!
  17. Hi, This is a nice watch and the price is reasonable. Its a Concord right? So can't be that bad. So, this for wife or girlfriend?
  18. As a Singaporean who travel frequently to Malaysia and once a while to Hongkong, I think they are all the same (reps). In Singapore, I am not so sure of any good rep dealers, but in Malaysia there are a few! However, they are all carrying the same as the dealers on these boards and the prices may or may not be cheaper. They do sometimes have watches that are out of stock! As for second hand gen watches, I actually think Singapore is a great place to get them! The prices are quite competitive. And the range is great! When you going or rather coming over?
  19. This is nice! But with only 10 available to the public. the price doesn't matter anymore as it will be impossible to get one even if you are willing to pay!
  20. I still think the CD 06 is the nicest of them all! This is nice but nothing special. Since we are on this subject, I was always wondering why they don't rep the original Cousteau Diver (non-chrono) with bracelet. That was really beauttiful and at 42mm, comes with bracelet as well!
  21. Hi guys, Saw this on trusty website. Is it good or is there a gen model? I like this one! http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=3651
  22. Thanks guys for all the opinions. I have to agree that a gen dial will make a rep look even much better but really need to think. Honestly, I know it s not anything special! But somehow, I have always like this model. whether I like it enough to get a gen dial for it , yes I would but then my problem is that once I get that gen dial, it will be like what archibald says. The Date mag, CG and all that. well, lets see how it goes and I will post pics if this is ever done! Thanks Mark
  23. Beautiful! This makes me miss my CD 06 which had the same treatment by The Zigmeister!
