I don't think so. That little tab sticking through is superfluous... the main piece holding onto the band is the tube here outlined in green, through which the last rivet passes.

Holy schmolies, that thing is SPECTACULAR! Gorgeous, gorgeous build. And the lug curves on that case are to die for. Seriously. You know that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark when they open the Ark and gaze inside? Yeah that's how I feel looking at your photos.

Gee thanks a lot cornerstone, now the nut's out of the bag, so to speak. Ken came up with this great idea to fund RWG, by renting out his left nut for a projection surface much like seen in the picture. It seems there isn't another oblong object anywhere on earth massive enough to suit the purpose. We have Disney, next... NASA! Realtime visualization of Mars landings can be a reality!

Consider it takes TWO containers to move Ken's Left Nut, well .... it gets a little pricey. Still interested? There's always the alternate, the Artist's Rendering of the real thing. Reproduced in lifelike color on canvas, stretched and double matted behind museum-grade UV protective glass, signed by the Owner himself. While expensive, it's nowhere near as pricey as the real thing.
