1. Come on guys, who needs a gnarly titanium dive chrono? It's manly, it's a beast, and if someone buys it TODAY, I'll donate 100% of the proceeds to RWG. It will henceforth be known as THE RWG CHRONO. Who's in? http://www.rwgforum....ono-dive-beast/
2. Okay gents we have it all worked out now. The Boss was installing new gold fittings in the wet bar / piano lounge for Diamond Members. He dropped his saw into the Champagne Pool of Delight and nearly electrocuted himself. Luckily Ken had an extra left nut to toss as a life preserver. All is well now, the new gold fittings are in, and we've replaced the juice in the Champagne Pool. Diamond Members, come on it! The champagne's fine.
3. Same here, I talked with The Boss and he's been working hard on it. Looks to be resolved now.
4. This is great, guys! Spread the word, let's keep the ball rolling!
5. There ya go. I'll happily fly with you!
6. True, and IMHACO, we're the worse for it. We have computers to do the calculations for us so arguably we're safer. Until the computer craps out. Then, if you don't know the math you're toast. Lots of Boy Scout troops use GPS now for adventures and it's the same thing, their safety relies on batteries. Once you teach the use of maps and a compass and math, the boys are safer. Old school rules baby!
7. I tweaked his pic (a lot) so you can see details. Compare with my 6536 (very similar) and tell me what you see.

8. I'll toss a bone in here... I've been running a sale for over a year, off and on. It's for a rare ~40mm titanium dive beast. Someone buy it and 50% of the proceeds go to RWG. Who's up for it?
http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/122480-fs-titanium-chrono-dive-beast/
9. Yes the white Big Lollipop is accurate to a '57 to '59 6538, and is one of my favorite details. I like it better than the gen on this page:
http://rolexpassionreport.com/8606/parma-vintage-rolex-passion-watch-show/
10. The rep version will be out next month, with all hands moving all the time. Backwards.
11. Dingdingding!! Dah Winnah! it's in the avionics. ADS-B needs a good clock, and air traffic needs ADS-B.
12. Pilots used to need the ability to make calculations and then time their progress along a route. Now their avionics do it for them, and being in controlled airspace they're basically flying bus routes. VFR flight may be different but then, those pilots usually already know where they're going and how long it takes to get there. So long story short, the old analog sliderule chronos are basically man jewellery babe magnets now.

13. Spectacular! A little birdy told me about your parts and I've gotta agree, this will be an awesome build.
14. Count yourself lucky, ghost.
15. Thanks. I have a watchmaker buddy at the AD who might tackle this for me.
16. I just bought a set for ETA. The hours hand is correct, minutes is 90 and I need 100. So I need to enlarge it. Can you step me through it if I don't have the tool? I'm thinking a very long thin needle will let me incrementally open it up until it fits over the minutes shaft?
17. Did you mean a 6536 Sub? Twinlock 6mm, beware the 5.3mm set!
18. Yes, my 1665 spent its whole life on the deck of commercial dive boats and it's brown as an acorn.

But my 6536 spent its whole life outdoors and never faded.

19. Yeah that's the problem, they only work on ETA. Not DG or Miyota. So will the ETA fit this case?
20. I don't know if the ETA would fit, I believe the case is Silix's Milgauss ROLS234 (?) If that would work, I'm home free.
21. JoeyB that's great advice. See how your minutes hand lies just short of the chapter ring? That's how mine looks.

Cc33 sent photos of CWP hands and they're exactly right but won't fit Miyota movements. Argh!
22. Good morning gents, I'm looking for some gilt hands. There's a lot of information here so let's see if we can summarize it in a thread? Silix / Raffles sell gilt hands for DG/Miyota movements but the minutes hand is short - it doesn't reach the chapter ring. CWP has very nice gilt hands (the best?) but they only fit gen or ETA 2824. What other options are there, if I want a full length minutes hand for a Miyota 8215?
