  1. No party is complete until CrazySaleMan and Miss Understood show up! And Demsey.
  2. I can't tell you what he let me buy, but I'll say that I had to kneel on his chest and pummel him mercilessly until he let it go. I'm very grateful he was willing to sell, now I'm assembling the pieces to complete the project. Ahhhhhhh, the exquisite pain of waiting. Checking tracking numbers. Strapping on the snowshoes for another trip to the mail drop. I have a week penciled in at the Spa, and parts flying all over the world. In probably a month I'll have it finished. Then, like a debutante emerging before the prom, I'll present her here. Until then, I'll calm your drooling with a photo from this morning.
  3. Oy, welcome back! What's new.... Let's see, we have a new Diamond Lounge, Ken found his left nut, and the Boss is off on vacation. Party time!
  4. So is this beauty starting, or ending its "World Mod Tour 2013" at Chez Nanuq? Think about it: start here and you have an entire planet of people to try and fix it.
  5. Now yer talkin'!! I gotta see that result!
  6. Close, Cornerstone. We already have 5, 8 and 13 (5+8=13) so to continue the sequence keep the 8 and 13, and compute the next number in the sequence (8+13= ) and we get 21. So the next Fibonacci Day is Aug 13, '21. That's also the final Fibonacci Day, ever. Why?
  7. A man who understands the fractional geometry of nature, no doubt!
  8. Dingdingding!!! Da Winnah! And that will be the last one, ever.
  9. So when does it happen again?
  10. At least they're not stamped "3.14159" eh?
  11. My eyes! My eyes! *claw claw* You guys are right, cc is a guy I'm proud to call a friend.
  12. Speaking of "top shelf" he is at a Canadiens game as we speak. So we can dish out all kinds of comments about him for a couple hours before he gets back! I heard he likes high heels. Red sparkly ones like Ken's.
  13. I'm in the throes of a new project and cc33 was generous enough to offer one of his prized pieces for sale. And he sent it to me before payment. I have it in hand now, and I've got to say, it's spectacular! Cc33 is above and beyond a class act. Trustworthy and dependable, deal with him with complete confidence!
  14. Lhooq nailed it. I don't see a difference from the last time. Rats. Nice catch.
  15. That's very nice! It fixes the glaring flaw from the original release... the screwy "figure eight" midlink where the endlink attaches. Get one and let us know what you think! If it's really like the pictures, then I'll need two.
  16. Thanks M, ya know I had the same thoughts. I talked it over with some esteemed chums and they dug out photos of double-gilt tropical dials from the era! That's right.... did YOU know Rolex made double-gilt? Neither did I. They're not all done in silver depth rating. So I thought what the heck. I've ordered one and this new build can join my pantheon of Tropical Dials.
  17. Adding a gen 703 helps.... But adding a narrow, gen 702 is the trick.
  18. Well, truth be told several members with impeccable taste opined that the MQ is the better dial. For what I'm planning I think that's the route I should take. And I have another tropical 6538 build in the works already. Best of both worlds.
  19. Well gents, the decision was made, the die cast. I placed an order for the InGod brown 2-liner and there's a "problem" with his PP account now. No soup for you! So I think the WIS gods are telling me I shoulda gone with the MQ dial in the first place. Checkbooks akimbo, lads! To the Internet!
  20. Speaking of blasts from the past, where have YOU been, scotty?! Welcome back!
  21. *crickets chirping* The Boss would recognize it, but he's off on vacation.
