  1. Our Governor is SMOKIN' hot but this is way out of her depth. Even though the locals call her The Sarahcuda. Google her up ... Sarah Palin. Yowza!
  2. Niiiiiiice! I'll take the Cali and the Snowflake, to go. Wrap 'em up!
  3. Here's a quick quiz for the eagle-eyes... what other beloved vintage piece do I see when I look at that LeJour Superman? Look closely at that bezel, insert, crystal and crown.
  4. A couple more from other, more obscure brands...
  5. Let's see if I can come up with a couple for you...
  6. My duties are varied...
  7. You can tell when comparing that bracelet with a DW bracelet that it's a 19mm too. What a gross mistake. Did someone mention a gold Daytona?
  8. Dluddy is a gentleman I'd love to spend some quality time in the backcountry with. And we wouldn't be lost.
  9. Pfran42 has the ONLY KNOWN PHOTO IN EXISTENCE of JetMid as his avatar!!!
  10. Nah, Chuck would never wear black biking shoes!
  11. Isn't that like comparing Cameron Diaz and Marilyn Monroe?
  12. Hah! These are great responses! Let's keep 'em coming! I was going to say that print looks mysteriously like one left by Miss Understood...
  13. Thank you friend! I'm busy as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs but you know it's best that way. One of my scouts finished his Eagle Scout project last weekend, and another completed Eagle and is now at Annapolis. What a great program Boy Scouts is... it takes a lot of time but man I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. Besides that it's starting to get cool again... we had snow on the mountains in July and it's down around 40F at night. Winter's coming back and none too soon! Here's my ancient MBW with its Superdome 39, and the gen SD with its (gen and boring) flat tropic 39. DBR keeps ribbing me that I need to swap these two crystals. I don't mind surgery on my MBW but it sure makes me nervous to take apart my gens.
  14. *grin* The really screwy thing is, I have a gen SD39 on my rep MBW and a flat T39 on my gen! Sheesh.
  15. You got it! The piece didn't go out today, the dog team froze solid and I'm fresh out of Sterno to thaw the sled runners. But tomorrow is looking good. I'll keep you posted! @TT - thanks friend. Same back at you.
  16. And a big thumbs up for CM ... I lost something VERY valuable of his and he forgave me.
  17. TwoTone ... A gentleman and a scholar. A prince among we mere mortals.
  18. I shoulda sold a couple half a year ago!
  19. To be honest I don't think you can really say I "won" it from him. It was more along the lines of the Unopposable Force and the Immovable Object. The raw energy released in our battle altered the structure of space-time and our wrists flew into an alternate universe where matter..... doesn't. When we returned the watch was floating in the air next to my forehead so naturally I grabbed it and ran. I shouted "neener neener neener" as I did, which I now wonder was the smartest move. Consequently I am going out camping AGAIN!! It seems the deep dark woods are good hiding places. Chuck looks so much like a bear that he winds up sitting around with them telling stories of eating raw meat and I can make my escape.
  20. I can hunt around and see if a friend has a caliper. If I can find one, then I'll get the numbers for you. Did you notice my crystal retaining ring is triangular in cross-section? MY bezels will snap down over that arrangement, but the Silix retaining ring is tall and squared off at the shoulders. Perhaps some shaping of that top edge will let the MY piece slide down over it better? This is looking REALLY nice. Keep up the good work!
  21. Check out item #190244121305
  22. Beautiful! I think you're onto something good here. Here are some profile shots:
  23. I like how this photo came out. A couple of old-timers.
