  1. my two cents, I think that somehow the definition of a dress watch has been changed over the last decade. A dress watch should be discrete, slip easily under the shirt sleeve and most certainly not on a rubber strap. If you like it i'm happy too but be aware Van Damme
  2. Office day today so wearing my franken 111 on gen croc and deployant
  3. You have style, what model is that i like it a lot
  4. I've been doing crossfit for a while and the result is that i'm now as fit as a butchers dog. 172 pounds and 8% body fat Anyone else that is doing crossfit workouts?
  5. I agree on the crossift. Great for building strength and increase your cardiovascular endurance. Personally i find that these exercices work well: - Rowing machine. - HIT swimming sessions (butterfly or freestyle) - Overhead presses on a medium weight, high reps. - high rep squats. I would do lot's of front squats to develop your quads.
  6. looking good! I diden't know summer even existed in Germany, hahaha
  7. Personally, i find one of the nicest looking combinations to be the 111 on OEM black croc strap and OEM deployant. The pam deployant is not the most comfortable however, if you're lookinf for comfort, i would go for just the normal buckle type strap. here's mine: Works on my 250 as well:
  8. Just thought i'd share, I'm wearing my 320 'best version' today.
  9. I completely agree, that's a lovely watch. Mine is:
  10. This watch might not be so expensive or prestigious as the swiss top brands, nevertheless this is a watch i really enjoy wearing and wanted to share this. It's a seiko solar chronograph and can be had for about 300 euros. First of all, it charges by any type of sunlight and according to seiko the battery never needs replacing. For such a cheap watch they have actually put in a proper saphire crystal. The crystal clarity is very good, even tough it doesn't have an AR it's extremely clear and it makes the sunburst dial stand out. The crystal is slightly convex and protrudes about 1 mm The whole assembly is very well built and the watch runs very accurate (what you'd expect for a quartz) Functions include minute hour and small seconds hand. It has a chrono, date an you set an alarm as well. It also has an inner rotating bezel with compass readings. The case is 42mm but the flat polished bezel makes it look bigger. It's a lot bigger than my 3717 for instance. It doesn't rival with the PAM but it does have a presence on the wrist, especially with the saddle leather strap: Enjoy
  11. I love what you've done to the movement. It's really close to gen. just for reference, here's my 111 with the OEM part, I think it's gold plated. You could have it replated of course if you want that gen look. The entire drive train gears are plated differently than the standard ETA gears, i think they are also gold plated as the shine is really 'yellow' since we're talking about details, change the CG screws, the scewdriver slot is a lot smaller on OEM and an easy tell...
  12. from looking at the CG i'd say it's a noob.
  13. The buckle was given to me by a friend (on a keychain) apparently it's a perfect copy of the mx buckle. It's been sitting in my drawer for ages and decided to put it to good use. I don't know where it comes from but i do know rolexfinder used to sell these.
  14. I just wanted to show this to you, my new strap arrived today, originally for my 111 but on the 250 for now It's a custom strap with a sew-in MX buckle i provided. It looks amazing, it really stands out with the yellow pam dial. The pictures don't do justice i need to take better ones with proper lighting.
  15. That's correct. Well spotted. The big question is why
  16. This is a gen but something is wrong with the watch.
