  1. Hi Gents, I'm after some information. A while back I purchased this franken hulk and I've been quite happy with it. It has a couple of genuine parts: hands, crown, datewheel, crystal. The 3135 rep movement runs super well. the dial is a BP dial with genuine indices with correct lume. bracelet is ARF. The only two issues I have with it are the fact that the bezel slightly rocks and that the dial presents some minor damage under certain light conditions: tiny scratches and some smidges. The probably happened when the indices were replaced. The rolexrolexrolexrolex inner ring also doesn't line up perfectly. I would like to replace the dial for something cleaner and get the ring alignment and bezel done. Besides gen, what hulk dial is currently the best one? CF, VSF, ZF? I've been reading about it a lot but it's hard to compare. Any bracelets that are better than ARF? What other mods would you give this watch? Thanks for reading!
  2. Thanks Freddy, i'll ask the seller for some more photos and post them up here!
  3. It's hard to tell from the pictures, looks like a tudor 7928? How much is this worth?
  4. 372 is nice, but the one that wakes me up at night is the 422. http://www.tendancehorlogerie.com/wp-content/uploads/PANERAI-PRE-SIHH-2012_PAM00422-1.jpg http://www.tendancehorlogerie.com/wp-content/uploads/PANERAI-PRE-SIHH-2012_PAM00422-3.jpg 47mm 1950's case double pencil hands sandwich dial in house movement with power reserve domed plexi All of that for 6-7K€. Why buy a gen 127 for double the price? Build a 127 that's another story!
  5. Thanks everyone for your expert advice!
  6. if you were to buy a hands removal tool, what would you go for? Looking for something that does not damage the dial. Many thanks in advance!
  7. If you sell this to me, i will offer 5 figues for it as well... cash waiting
  8. Very nice piece AJ. Looking forward to seeing the finished result. I might have a contact for gen parts. I've seen a set of gen hands.come up and a gen bezel and crown guard.
  9. That's impressive! for sure it has cost you less than the real deal
  10. I diden't know that. so your 203 has a gen crown guard. Can you tell us a bit more about the watch, what parts are gen etc?
  11. That's one sweet watch!! CG lever should point upwards?
  12. That longines diver is superb, makes me think of the 60's jlc polaris. Personally i'd go for the panerai 320. Inhouse p 9001 movement, power reserve, gmt function, 1950's case...
  13. Just thought i'd share, if you're looking for a good and durable, classy belt, have a look on this site. The quality is top notch, much better than that rep [censored]! www.beltsandbriefcases.com
  14. Nice GMT there mate! i was thinking the same this morning:
  15. Pam 250 for me today. True sports watch with the chrono double ar and the rubber strap.
  16. Good to hear some other people are doing these workouts. The main reason for me initially was to gain a bit of muscle mass, as an open water swimmer i was rather skinny, strong upper body but skinny legs! I went to the gym like many but i coulden't relate to that mentality. I backed off from the gym and I started doing exercices at home with just a bar and bodyweight: deadlifts, pullups and a bit of squats and front squats, pushups, etc. Pretty soon i ended up bying a power rack, more weights and a bench. Great for doing squats and bench pressing. then i got tempted into doing overhead squats and olympic lifts in genral. the overhead squats were difficult at the start because of the lack of flexibility i had at the time but i got there in the end. from overhead squats moved to clean and press and eventually my snatch. HIT workouts, cardio, heavy loads, olympic lifts it's addictive!
  17. I tried removing one of the straps recently and it appears that one screw bar is sort of stuck in the tube. Maybe some corrosion. I can unscrew the bar from the watch but it stops there, i can't pull the screw bar out of the tube. I could use pliers and yank it out but the screw bars are gen i don't want to damage them. Anyone had this problem before, maybe use a bit of WD40?
  18. Acceptable to some. here's a classic example of how the sports watch made it to be a dress watch. I love bond when it comes to his style and suits but his watches... It's not his fault, someone at MI6 has poor taste. I could see bond with a nice JLC master control, a piaget altiplano or a glashutte but certainly not with this. Hublot as a dress watch , i really don' get it. Certainly no need to button up the cuff with this brick on your wrist.!
