  1. Sweet.. they make the "PING" sound???? I want!
  2. Does anyone know if this hand size difference applies to the Asian 7753 arrangement versus the Swiss ETA 7753?
  3. I think the gen 201a isn't well lumed, but DavidSen does sell a superlume sandwich version of the same dial. Superluming it would take away from the authentic look, though. Nice to know that an accurate case back is available.
  4. Nice 5218-201/A! Given that the authentic one runs over 25K, anyone who knows his Panerai would probably call me out. How is the vintage lume on that watch? I wanna see if it glows much. Can you post a picture of the case back? The authentic 201A has a unique engraving. Is this a good rep or is there a generic case back?
  5. Tissot is a great watch. My guess is that for the price (which is VERY reasonable), each watch is not individually waterproof/pressure tested. No matter. I own two Tissots, and I've never had issues. I'm glad it worked out for you!
  6. Great post. OMG that's an obscene collection. How many Rollie subs does one really need????
  7. It's not automatic, but the Wenger Commando Black Eagle Chrono is fully lumed too. That's a sweet looking watch, BirdMan. Fully c3! Wow! I want!
  8. A picture is worth a thousand words...... I noticed RBJ's expert forum section is now gone.
  9. Now look at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions.
  10. I've given up on using the dilutor because of the reasons mentioned by The Zigmeister. I mix my superlume up in small batches. When it's too thick, I mix up another small batch.
  11. You can drill out the hole and use a springbar instead. Sounds like a crappy solution, but there are 26mm screw spring bars available to fit Panerais
  12. I think it will be an issue in any manual wind watch with a screw-down crown.
  13. Here's a current tally from the other RWG: If you've had a PAM 183 for LONGER THAN 6 MONTHS, has your crown tubed stripped? Yes [ 14 ] ** [31.82%] No [ 30 ] ** [68.18%]
  14. First of all, the screwdown crown replicas have had issues with crown stripping. When you have to manually wind a screw-down crown over and over and over again, this is inevitable. Just for this reason, I'd avoid this particular rep (and the Blackseal 183) unless you only use it intermittently or if you know it's easy to purchase extra tubes and crowns. Secondly, it's a solid back replica. Does it matter what the movement inside looks like? I'd go for DavidSen's high quality chinese movement instead of paying an extra 80 bucks for the swiss. You can purchase an extra ETA movement for that price difference.
  15. Dang. You dropped $600 on a pressure tester? You must have a lot of watches.
  16. I'd love to hear from someone who has Joshua's "perfect" SD to see how it is attached. Whether it's a "button" that is placed after milling or a true valve, it doesn't matter. I think a button would be easier to install with a little glue.
  17. Anyone know whether the gen is C3 or C1 lume? When I was at the AD, it looked like a C3 to me. Slightly yellow in color. Mine is definitely getting relumed and varnished.
  18. I meant that you could buy hands for a Swiss 7750 if you're replacing your Asian movement with the Swiss one. Anyway, I need to find The Zigmeister's post about this. Is the size different only for the main hands (hour, minute, second) or is it different with the subdials as well?
  19. Another option is to buy genuine hands from Ofrei if they're available. Genuine hands will fit swiss ETA 7750 movements if the authentic movement is 7750/1 based.
  20. Is there an AR coating on the crystal (like the gen)? Minor issue, but no one seems to be advertising it.
  21. Here you go. Eaton Rolex 1/4 Century watch. How about this Rolex? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=150040934833
  22. Looks real. Solid end link looks very well constructed with sharp margins.
