The buyer wants to have his cake and eat it, too. You can have it, or you can eat it... Either way, I don't expect Hike to "eat it."
Take the refund, or deal with the imperfection hidden by your wrist.
I have less drama selling $6,000 gens. Good Lord.

Don't do it! Don't let her force you to sell that gorgeous watch (although, I was feeling the pressure to part with one or two when you bought that one from me )
Geeze, I find it hard to believe that you (chillermusc) would be surprised that you could have no posts and come into this COMMUNITY of brothers who look out for one another and be surprised that you weren't allowed to sell a multi-thousand dollar piece right off the whip....
Yeah, those are going to be much more difficult to find. SS cigarette hands are easy, old school gold for ETA... hmmm... I'd look at the parts section on TZ and really give ebay a good search.
I put my partner's Rolex Date in an Omega box just to fuck with him. (He said he'd liked the date, so I of course wanted to mess with him a little). He was happily surprised when he opened the box to find the Rolex.
No matter what you put it in, she's going to love it!
I have a CW21 certified watch maker in town who is incredibly busy and works on a ton of watches. He has a lot of accounts with jewelers in town, so he's constantly working. I agree with you, though, that they want to share their passion. We talk movements and brands for an hour sometimes. And while he quotes 90 days to a shop and charges a ton, my watches are generally done in two weeks and quite reasonably...
