  1. Act now and you can get a bunch of Breitlings... on the CHEAP! lol http://cgi.ebay.com/Bentley-GT-Longitude-U...tem250077959339
  2. My Graphite Dial BCE is @ customs as of the 28th. he he he
  3. Thanks for the responses guys! I guess it's not a GREAT investment piece..but I do feel like it will become a collectible. Now I have to decided between the B-1 and the Emergency.
  4. I know, I know... this is a REP board... BUT. I wanted opinion. Do you guys think a GEN B-1 is a good investment since it's now discontinued and only for military sale/use? I only ask b/c my AD here has one and has offered it to me CHEAP.... and he honestly feels that it will be a collectible. I am also considering an Emergency, as I regularly fly and boat. Let's hear some thoughts!
  5. Improper subdial markings, and gaudy faux tourbillion parts aside... (and the lume is in the wrong places on the dial) it's not a far cry from a 6.75-ish rep.
  6. That's what I hate about the net sometimes... it's easy to mis-contrue how a person feels. I'm chill my friend.... please don't think I'm the least bit mad b/c I'm not. Just a Breitling fan, so I'm quick to dispell any misinformation. It's a beautiful rep in it's own rights... and I'll probably order the white face version, FWIW.
  7. They DO NOT make ANY Bentley in QUARTZ. period. It's a good looking rep.. but the dial configuration and printing bug me.... That..and the lack of A/R. But that's only b/c I've got a few gen Breitlings.. so it bugs me.
  8. Negative ghost rider. The GEN does NOT come in quartz. I just handled BOTH watches with black dial, the " T " and the regular model. Dunno where they got that stock pic @ Jomashop, but it's not correct. A quick call to the Breitling rep (at least around here) confirms that the regular Bentley model has a red date font, and the T (and only the T) should have the black date font, and that they do not, and have never, made the GEN in quartz/Superquartz.
  9. Only the Bentley Motors T should have the black date font. The Bentley Motors has the RED date font.
  10. What bugs me about it is the subdial layout and print is all wrong... as well as the date font. But from 5 feet... it looks spot on.
  11. A quick glance in my purty green Breitling for Bentley book shows the off-white dial you speak of. Not BRIGHT white like my Super Avenger... looks just like Section 8's.
  12. Sea Dweller all the way. I had a gen in the Navy and I only saw them on diver's wrists. I saw Sub's (and sub reps) all over the beaches in VA and San Diego. Plus as Ubi said...the Sea Dweller has more wrist presence (sits higher) and I personally feel like it's cleaner since it's sans cyclops.
  13. Not sure which body you're using, but the Canon will ultimately function better with the Canon lens. There are lines/grids of focus/focus points that you can't see, but are utilized by the Canon bodies and lenses. The resale value of the Canon will be higher as well. IMHO, the fact that the Canon is self-contained (IE no barrel extension) also provides you the comfort that no dust or particles will be introduced into the interior of the lens. No dust in the lens is important, esp. when we're talking macro. Then again, I'm a die-hard Canon lens fan, and I advocate the use of ONLY Canon lenses.
  14. Come on down and run the Gap with the RX-7 club. I've done a few LS-1 swaps/assisted with them as of late. Interesting... not my cup of tea...but interesting. I was on the forum waaaay back in the day.... but not lately. I'm on SF though. VIR ROCKS for bikes....
  15. Sweet. I used to race with Pettit Racing back in the day.... I've had 7 FD's in various stages of modification. I have a MKIV Supra and a Ducati that see various HPDE up in Dinwiddy/@ VIR. Maybe I'll see you around. Watch out for the big oak tree. Heh.
  16. The only experience I have with TiNi is my motorcycle forks and my mountain bike forks. But it's durable stuff.
  17. PVD as in Plasma vapor deposition? If so, that's pretty cool. And TiNi, as in Titanium nitride? Even cooler. Hmm...
  18. My friend... take a close look @ the dial on this timepiece. Look at the hands, the date font placement, the bezel... I have to admit... I cheated. It's my GEN.
  19. Has anybody seen my Super Avenger's crystal?!?! I seem to have lost it. Oh... nope... here it is. Gotta love that AR!
  20. Guy needs to read my post about " A Noob's perspective ". Talk about a whiny baby. Geez.
  21. My dear friend.... if you believe everything you see/read on the internet, without doing some of your own research first.... Tom Cruise has some openings for you in his religious group.
  22. I echo his sentiment. No matter what your race, creed, or national origin. My this season of the year bring you joy, happiness, peace, and a light-heart. Enjoy this time with your loved ones and those who matter most! Happy Holidays and best wishes to all!
