TTK- I will keep my comments polite and to the point out of respect for Kenberg whom I consider a good friend. I have no personal qualm with you so I fail to see how you can consider yourself " smart " and me an idiot when you can't even say something constructive to me without adding in personal insult. Maturity anyone? On to your points. 1. We fear what we do not understand. Plain and simple. You don't like guns. I respect that, AND your right to feel that way. Some people don't like replica watches. They express their opinions the same ways. True, replica watches don't directly harm people... but proponents against them would have you believe they DO cause some harm to legitimate watch trade AND the employment of those in those trades. Keeping guns from citizens simply won't happen here in the US. It's part of our Constitution. You can kill people more effectively AND quietly with knives than with firearms. What's next after we outlaw the guns??? Outlawing the kitchen utensils? Then the archery equipment.... and finally the foresting tools. (chainsaws, machetes, and sledgehammers) Where does it stop? 2. So then we only have to worry about the law-breakers carrying weapons.... true. But how do the people being attacked by the law-breakers defend themselves? Police response time is POOR at best, even when violence and weapons are involved. It simply won't work. Society is in a down-ward spiral. Period. We need to fix society, NOT the guns. 3. My point about the car is that where there is a will, there is a way. Taking weapons from people that intend to do harm to others will only result in them becoming more creative in how/what they use. Look at Iraq. They're called IMPROVISED explosive devices. We did a good job of keeping the real weapons away from them there, so they improvised. They're using forks, knives, bb's, glass shards, and rocks in this weapons. The igniter and the propellant is usually gasoline and/or fertilizer. Outlaw kitchen utensils, gardening, Earth, bottles, and petrol? I think not. An extreme example, for sure... but a valid point. 4. My view point is coming from someone trained in the art of killing at long range and close up and personal. I've served in the US Military for some severe and serious conflicts. I firmly believe that if you EDUCATE and REGULATE... you're fine. There are ALWAYS bad apples, but is it fair to punish the masses for the sins of the few? Finally, consider Utah. Public concealed carry is allowed on AND off campus in that state. Guess how many school shootings or instances of violence on campuses have occured in UT. Not many. (not any, actually.. if I've searched enough). An armed society is a polite society. Then again... Peace cannot be kept with force, it can only be achieved through understanding. We can agree to disagree, as I'm in the US and you're not, (EDIT) the list could go on. What it boils down to is that if this crazed student had decided to drive his car through campus and killed a bunch of people with it, or he decided to run through campus with a chainsaw and cut people up.... people wouldn't be screaming CAR CONTROL!!!! OR CHAINSAW CONTROL!!! Think about that.

" If you outlaw guns, then only outlaws will have guns. " That about says it all. You get a licence to drive a car. A car is a VERY effective killing tool. So is a gun. And you get a license to purchase and carry one of those too. The rate of deaths per auto accident is higher than that of shootings. Not only is it ou Consitutional right to bear arms, but that very right is what keeps us safe. Like on poster said... it's not the gun that killed those people. Gun's don't kill people... people kill people. 'Nuff said.

Do you have any idea what it costs to run a forum? Pay for storage/hosting? Now throw into the mix the legality issue we're currently facing, and consider the great risk and great wealth of information you've obtained here. If this place didn't exist, you would have probably bought crap from a scam site for $300 or gotten ripped a new one for $1k plus on another scam site. It's fair to say that this place has saved each one of us AT LEAST $100, if not more. And you aren't willing to pay $10? IMHO.... You have to pay to play. Have a nice day.

The stem insert on my HBB fell out. It came from Angus. He offered to fix it but I have to send it back to him first? If he can send out bezel screws I figure he can send out a plastic insert too. Oh... and it runs about 3 mins slow a day.

By no means am I a domestic guy.... I'm actually a dyed-in-the-wool 2JZ-GTE aficianado.. BUT You really can't touch the new LS7-series motors in the new Z06. -
czarczar over on RWI has one for sale right now. $400. Might want to jump on this one FAST if you really want it. They usually don't hang around long.

In for a ceramic as well.

My dream is to head to AU and drive through the Outback. MAN... that'd be awesome! -

X-line from Off Road Only. It has the HIGHEST temp. rating of any of the synthetic lines... and that's important b/c that's synthetic winch line's biggest weak point. Remember that when you're doing long pulls or pulls where you're REALLY stuck, the drum heats up... and FAST. It's the best stuff out there. MUCH better than Masterpull IMHO. -

Put a KB on a Rubi last month. Impressive, but you really need to factor in the price of upgrading your fuel pump and injectors to take full advantage. The d-shafts and the axles also start to take more wear and abuse from the added torque. I live about 10 miles from 5 different performance shops and I used to be a national competitor in rockcrawling competitions, so I've seen it all. I'll try and snap some pics of the Rubi that's getting the LS-1 408 motor put in. NASTY. I ONLY use synthetic rope.... you can't beat it, even with my LC weighing in at close to 8k. Beats wire rope hands down, except for abrasion resistance. Make sure you buy the protection sheath if you get it... it's worth it. I've only seen good things from TR, but that's actually from their Road Armor division, and this was on Ford F-250's. Since you're moggin' down that way, it seems that you aren't going to run into too many high-traction situations like I do when crawlin'. Dual cases, 5.29's, and a 4-1 low range gear in both cases makes for a nasty crawl ratio... combine that w/ my TRD S/C on my 4.5 and it's pretty impressive. FWIW, I am planning on tubbing the rear of my LC, and installing a small BL (I know, I know.. I HATE BL's) of about an inch to clear my 40" MT/R's sitting in the garage. he he he -

Ubiquitous is correct. You're supposed to use a conical lugnut for these wheels. I know, b/c I had the same problem with my AR Teflon Mojaves on my LC. That, and you really need to have bigger tires Road-Force balanced, instead of the traditional way. I always had that problem with 37" and larger Goodyear MT/R's AND IROK's (radials, not bias ply). FORGET balancing ANYTHING with the words Interco, bias ply, or Super Swamper on it... although some Equal (the tire stuff, not the sugar) can help. On a side note, might want to turn the snorkel head around and point it at your windshield. TRUST me on this one... you still get plenty of air and don't believe that "ram air " BS that you hear. Otherwise a branch will snag your snorkel one day and best case will just break the grill... worst case it'll rip the snorkel off your rig. Good looking Rubi though. Time to do some axle upgrades and make it a TRUE Dana 44 F/R. I'd also go w/ either an ARB or a Trail Ready bumper. -
Congratulations my friend! It's nice to see a couple take vows and actually stick to them... in the days where it's accepted practice to divorce like it's no big deal. GST sounds like a nice choice and a beautiful timepiece. Pics? oh... wait... ha ha ha Congrats again!

Actions speak louder than words... on both counts. EL has NEVER let me down.

No worries here my friend.

I meant more along the lines that I'm not sure if these are sized to Asian specs.. or US/European specs. The XL's in China = a US Med. usually. So I'm not 100% sure on the sizing requirements. Just b/c I'm on a rep board doesn't mean I don't own gens... of the watches or the suits.

+1 for Kenburg @ Bergie's Belts via TRC. I just wish I knew for sure that those Armani's suits would fit me.... I'd be all over one.

The Hercules Pics Got Me Thinking...

From everything I've seen, and on both MY gen and with having three friends w/ gens... ALL the ones I've seen are POLISHED, not brushed. -

I had one... And the damn top chrono pusher fell off the 2nd day I had it. I was none-too-thrilled. But... true to form, my AD had another in my hands the very next day. I sold mine about 2 years ago.... Nice purchase, congrats!

Breitling Chronomat Evolution Graphite Dial Question
millwright replied to Chronus's topic in The Breitling Area
Subdials are the wrong color. I posted about this already. Red writing dials should have the same color dials, model # 742, graphite dial and subdials. White writing gets the black subdials, model #748, slate grey dial and black subdials. All that info is straight from the 07 Chronolog and price list. My biggest issue with it is that the lower #'s underneath the 6 o'clock lume spot don't line up. Other than that... it's an AMAZING rep. You'd have to stare at the rep for a few secs to catch the #'s alignment, and if you don't know the model(s)/catalog well, you won't catch the dial coloring. -
$1000 Watch Suggestions/genuine Preferred

Shopping carefully yields good deals on GEN Breitling Steelfish, Chrono Avenger, and Omega Aquaterra's. -
A quick peek at the Chronolog price list reveals that you are correct. Dial #742 is the graphite dial with GRAPHITE sub-dials... red lettering. Dial #748 is the Slate-grey dial with BLACK sub-dials... white lettering. Hmph. A pity no-body caught this. Still a beautiful rep... but the dial color/lettering is a dead giveaway.
-
Yup, it's the same on yours too. Anybody else with a Graphite dial BCE notice that the #'s directly underneath the 6 o'clock lume don't line up? The 50 and 120 are just a touch off center. Dunno how to fix it though, b/c the 12 o'clock position #'s are spot on. Otherwise... it's flawles. I had it beside a GEN @ a dealer and other than the lume strength and the aforementioned # issue, it's perfect. All I need now is a rotor w/ the Breitling engraving and it'll be 99%. EDIT: PLEASE don't mis-construe my comments as an attempt to take away from the AMAZING quality and construction of this rep. It's AMAZING!!!!!

A man after my own heart. This is basically the sentiment that I was going for when I responded. Well done!
-
While I agree with the sentiment of your post completely, I disagree with the whole " V-Day " thing. Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna do the requisite flowers and a nice gift thing, but I don't feel that V-day is the ONLY day you should treat your woman right. I hope that makes sense.... I show my better half how I feel about her everyday... and I treat her to gifts at random times. Small or large, expensive or cheap... she loves it. That being said... A BIG VOTE FOR KENBURG.... If you're looking for a nice bag for your lady!
