ndt dials neither have a coronet like that, nor the small dot just under the 6 marker, and i think there are a lot more differences that i dont see

sorry tmg, i didnt want to say that you bought from them, but from j&w ( my english is bad ) ! thank you for the link, i didnt know ndt was selling cases too, and for a good price. but this doesn't help me, i have too many projects in mind and dont know which one to start first, helppppp !! ( 5513 gilt dial, 5508, 5514.. ?? )

hi all, vintagewatchesmq is a website that sell dials and cases for vintage rolex. I discover this url in a thread of rwg a while ago ( cant find it again unfortunately ), put it in my bookmarks and forget about it.. until i decided to make a 5508 project ! The question is : has anyone ever buy something from this guy ? the dials seem to be exactly the same as j&w, and so the cases, but for a lower price : i send a mail concerning the 5508 case, and the guy sells it for 600euros ( compared to the 1500$= 1000euros for the j&w case ) so, i'd like to know if i can trust him or not thanks for your answers

here is one gen dial to compare : the markings seem wrong but not so much , could be modified easily ( i think ? ) by the way, are you trying to do a 6538 project ? if so where did you source the case ?

hi all, i'd like to do another project : a daytona 16520 ( like master ubi ) i know where to find dial, hands and an el primero movement but the real issue here is the case : where can i find one ??? there are dealers that sell great cases for vintage dayto, vintage sub, etc.. but they don't sell cases for the 2001 daytona model ! so i'm asking for your help, does anyone have some infos ? it seems like ubi is not on rwg anymore thanks for your help

i bought the hands from clark watch parts on ebay. they didnt fit the movement, and my watchmaker did a great job for this i vintagized them with : an orange felt pen then scratched them with a screwdriver then added some dark chocolate ( yes yes ) on them !

thanks for your comments guys, I really enjoyed this project ! the 1680 dial was too big for the case : i could have trimed the dial, but i prefered to trim the case ( it wasnt the easiest part ) concerning the Tropic 19, it was easy to install ( it fits perfectly ). I think it gives a unique look, and it looks much better to me too Jetsons ! next project, hum maybe a 5512 or a 5513

i did the lugholes, and i screwed a little yup but concerning the dial, its the old tritium that is still on, and that is gone on some points. i like it that way

hi all, after several months of reading threads in this forum concerning mbw rolex modded, i decided to do my own so here it is : mbw 5512 case modded ( aged, lugholes drilled ) bezel insert nicely vintagized by kelster + gen dot gen tropic 19 low dome gen crown gen dial rolex 1570 movement fully serviced + silver datewheel ( flat 3 :p !!! ) waiting for tube + springbars +/- gen bracelet 93150 if i manage to find one at a good price the pics : it was my first watch mod, and using a dremel was new to me ( the case suffers a bit , but i'm gonna polish it ) I really enjoy doing this, it was a little scary at some points, but i'm proud that i managed to do it by myself + one gift for speed lovers ( gen speed automatic ) next step : becoming a rwg supporter

whooo great case, the caseback seems amazing !! and great project too, not so common can you tell me where you found this case, i'd be really interested , my 1680 project ( not finished yet, would post photos soon ) makes me realize how much i love these vintage rollies
