  1. After enjoy a happy weekend; I always have a bad-mood on Monday. Especially this Monday; It's a very very bad for me!

This morning; I still have a sweet dream in my bed at around 7:00am. I recieved a phone call from police-station; they inform me that one outlet of my company had been broken-in last night..... After that I working like a dog whole day; a series investigation, endless phone call, a long review meeting, a lot of follow-up action, a branch of report to be finish....The most important thing is: My General-Manager on his business-trip since last week & will return tomorrow. I can't imagine what will happen when he know that...SHXT

I wearing my IWC 3717 today:

Thx for your information! You're always the best!

Let wait & see when can I found the OEM strap for my 113; Or maybe rush into Panerai boutique & get a gen one tomorrow.....who know? :D :D This's what the fun begin

Next time you will see a new post here: "Everybody Loves Vbarrett!, (OEM/GEN) Tan Calf on PAM 113 DSN" :)

    Stay Tune!!! :phone:

    Best Regards,

    Raymond

  3. Dear Vbarrett:

    Big surprise! Really surprise!

After compare your original OEM with mine; I found that design, colour & quality are much much better.'

Well, I'll going to source it again! Yesterday, Davidsen offer me the following strap:

    278912-1821.jpg

    ~ 24x24mm non taper

    ~ Calf or buffalo gain

Do U think the colour is same as yours? What is "Non-Taper"? What different between "Calf or Buffalo gain"?

    Best Regards,

    Raymond

  4. FRIDAY

Today I offer you a megapost of Wristies! Are you ready? Let's start off with my brand new PAM metal bracelet from Davidsen!!

    pam112braceletwristiefg5.jpg

Mmm, luscious. B) Unfortunately installing this puppy was like giving birth to one -- slow and painful. But once Subzero1 gave me the hint about the pliers, bending the "wings" 30 degrees, and the secret Davidsen handshake, it was on like THAT.

A closeup of the metal bracelet deployant.

I fitted the bracelet unto one of my two Andrew PAM 111hs. I had also changed the CG to a polished E-series looking one, so this baby really SHINES. Thanks for the CG, Taiji!

    SATURDAY

I'm tired of looking either pale or red-blotchy in Wristies, so I am going to the pool to get a tan! This is my Top Gear: Video iPod, Anthelios XL SPF 60 (which every hot chick uses in St. Barths), a blood-red Starbucks frap mug, and my DSN PAM 112 with Toscana Siena carbon strap. AND BREATHE.

    pamcarbonantheliosstarbij2.jpg

Nice carbon strap, BTW. Soft, and made of leather inside. Right, Stephane? ;)

Johnny Cash, or Arctic Monkeys? Toughie.

    SUNDAY

Gotta a fancy do Sunday, so I'm lugging out the Louis Vuitton B.A. face-watch.

    louisvuittoncloseupoc8.jpg

I bought this 7 years ago, just when B.A. watches were starting to make waves...and the trend shows no sign of dissipating.

Trademarked cut-out strap shot. Sooooft LV strap.

    EXTRA

Raymond/RCHK asked Paneristi for OEM calf tan shots, so here you go, bubeleh -- your OEM calf tan deployant strap with gold stitching on my Andrew PAM 113.

    pam113oemwristie2wj1.jpg

    I think it looks fantastic.

Will post separately with more shots, as I feel people's eyeballs glazing over.

Oh my god.....After saw your OEM Calf strap; I start to hate my new strap for my 113 AGAIN. Big different between yours & mine. Hmmm.....Seems the colour should a little be darker than the one I got. I believe I'll going to source it again <_<

    Thx! V

    Best Regards,

    Raymond

  5. Dear KM:

Nice Review! I shocked when I saw your topic; as this 50th Speedmaster roll-out silently. No one here to discuss or aware about this rep..... I want to have my Moonwatch long long time ago (It's really legendary!!). But it really hold me back due the flaws too much on it & will get call-out not even from an expert.

From your photos & review; I guess the factory just re-work the dial only & release it. Maybe they would like to clear them old stock-out hand? I'm not sure but all flaws in previous version had been remained on this new 50th.

Anyway; hope u enjoy your first rep & wear it in good health!

    Best Regards,

    Raymond

  6. I bought a 99% tan OEM MX deployant strap on Risti for USD95, if that's any help, Raymond. *

As Skcheng said, they do run at 115/75 standard size, but I notice that you and I both have slim wrists, so that should be no problems for you. I wear it precisely on my PAM 113, and it looks awesome.

I know most people who get their gen PAMs take off the OEM strap real fast (as fast as we do our rep ones), but I happen to like mine. The black OEM is great, too, and I use that on the DSN PAM 112. That was about $75, same place. Risti Accessories Forum. Great bargains there!

*Thanks to all who replied to that seller, when he asked for a reference check ON ME. Imagine! Buyers usually do that, of course. But first time I heard of that on selling a strap. ;)

    Dear vbarrett:

Thx for your information; can u show me where actually I could found "Tan OEM MX deployant strap on Risti"?

Also; Is there any method to clean our leather-straps? Leather-straps absorbed the sweat on daily-wear & became dirty & smelly... :yuk:

    P.S: I send u a PM; would u mind to comment?

    Best Regards,

    Raymond

  7. Dear All:

As IWC 3717 got an abnormal lug-width (21mm); I searched all over my homeland city(HongKong) but still can't found a suitable one. Finally; a member recommend me TWB aka "watchboy". TWB provide different kind of straps especially designed for IWC lug 21/18mm. At last I pull the trigger on 2 straps from TWB:

1.) GENUINE ALLIGATOR semi-matte black alligator w/ white stitch-spitfire style

2.) KEVLAR STYLE STRAPS black woven kevlar style w/ white stitch... Ceramic Topgun style (with rubber texture)

They're expensive for my point of view; but after I recieved them I found the quality superb & very comfortable!!! NO REGRET!!!

    Here we go:

1.)After a whole day work; I found a package in my mailbox.....

    IwcStrap001.jpg

2.)2 straps packed in seperate plastic-bag

    IwcStrap002.jpg

3.)5minutes to compare & finally make my decision....I pick Kevlar Style this time; dear ALLIGATOR please stay in your bag for a long while, OK?

    IwcStrap004.jpg

4.)Another 5minutes to remove the old strap & install a new one...

    IwcStrap005.jpg

    IwcStrap003.jpg

5.)Couldn't wait to try it on my wrist!!!

    IwcStrap007.jpg

    IwcStrap008.jpg

    IwcStrap009.jpg

6.)Before I repack the ALLIGATOR; take a photo for it...

    IwcStrap006.jpg

Now; I felt my 3717 perfect!!! I'm happy with it. Thx for your time to share my happiness!

    Cheers,

    Raymond Chau

  8. the main thing is that when you have a beautiful watch like that, people will ask you to show them... and it doesnt look too good after being taken off. Its the watch that i only wear twice, and cannot figure out a way to make it to my daily wear.

in any way, its a BEAUTIFUL watch

    Dear Friend:

Haven't see u almost a week; I think u just out-of town for your vocation or something. I thought about to buy your HBB as factory not going to make the polished bezel+SS HBB anymore! So happy to see u here!

    Best Regards,

    Raymond ;)
