  1. MBW did some dials where the running seconds have their own and correct sub-seconds-dial at 9 o
  2. ....and further more to stress the fact that the watch on pics #1-3 is rep...look at the poorly made screw-heads on the bezel....do you really beleive that AP will have such a watch pass QC? Look at the cut in the screw....it runs not straight but diagonal Anyway, thanks for pinting this out.... Theo
  3. Dear All, this weekend I tried to do some pics of a small choice of my AP
  4. Hi Marcus, I handed all known infos (the specs) and some close-up, high-res pics to my dealer of choice 5 weeks ago....he was the first one to come up with an alternative EoD so I think he can tell the factories whats hot and whats not! He was not promissing anything....but honestly, the factory has everything to build this rep from existing parts (beside the Titanium case). Lets all pry and hope...cheers Theo
  5. This is an old watch...nearly 60 years of age....so you want expect this case to be shiny and polished all the way. The OP print was redone later...by whom? Noone knows.....but anyway, this watch is real and worth every penny (depends on your point of view). Cheers, Theo
  6. All in all it looks quite convincing....but you need to add abit of shin to the case....yours is far too matte black. Just my 0.02$ Theo
  7. WOW...the outcome is great....the PVD color is the correct one for an unused 1994 Panerai....amazing 1 thing as a suggestion...the hands are a bit too white....you need to rework them fr an off-white (just get rid of the brightness)....just my 0.02$ Cheers mate, Theo
  8. well......my RBII died again 2 days ago! I was wearing it for a week without a break (thats a loooong time for me!), put it in my watch-box and wanted to wear it again beginning of the week...DEAD again! So this damn thingy has to go to D. again for a 2nd service-break. Will keep you posted on this, Theo P.S.: D is on holiday leave at the moment so don
  9. Thank you for the cool pics....I do have the NAVY myself and I love it! Anyway, I was at my local AD and had the real deal on my wrist just for comparison....the only huge difference are the colors: GEN - the dial is really WHITE on the gen, a bright, shiny white color.....the blue parts are dark blue...royal blue, the hornback is thick, matte, dark-blue REP - the dial is silvery white with a kind of MOP effect in the light, the blue parts are navy-blue, ....a brighter blue, the hornback is thin and shiny, does not look natural. But this NAVY rep is one of the nicest I have seen so far and you won
  10. OMG....5 of them....is it the old modul calibre???? Like to know what your plans are with this Theo
  11. I completely agree with chubbchubb....tell us where you
  12. Congrats to that watch. Changing the strap should help to get it closer to gen....every now and then they pop-up used on the Bay. Anyway....the dial color is wrong....butt the numbers color is also wrong, they should be dark-brown but are black in the rep. Enjoy your piece, Theo
  13. Hopefully your caseback reads AQUATIMER amd not ANUATIMER as on the PVD version Theo
  14. Actually the dial is silver not white. I love the dark grey version they released the same date.....but I assume we have to wait a long time before the factories do these models. Hope and wait, Theo
  15. The service included an exchange of a smaller part for the NAVY.....the RB2 was just completely serviced! Theo
  16. .....I never liked those Jacob-pieces....too big and quartz is not my preferred movement. How about one of these sec@9.....MBW does these ROO
  17. AP released a bunch of new models lately....unfortunately we will never (not in a short run) see these watches as reps! But there will be more nice AP
  18. Good news....I now calculate a purchase of a sec@12 ROO within a complete service and graphit treatment....so it will take a bit longer before I will buy a new ROO....the last 3 ROO
  19. These look amazing...congrats on the good work. Theo
  20. They exist....but you won
  21. First of all....welcome aboard....you found the source of happiness Thats a very good question you have there....I for myself asked the same thing some lightyears ago. But I cannot answer it, you can ask this question in different words: - why do I buy 7750 mechanical watch (with closed caseback) when I can get the similar design with 100% reliable quarz? - why do I buy a chrono anyway....I never, ever touch or use it, have no real reason to do so. For me I just decided that it is the perfect look I like in my reps...esepecially the APROO
  22. NO It was on the market as a stainless steel version with blue/grey dial ... MBW did these. No chance in Gold or with white stick-marker dial. Theo
  23. WOW...what a nice line-up...good work to get them all together. But you need to give the 202A a bit more shine....DSN
