  1. Dear members, I got a new APROO Navy from Angus this week. I had it on my wrist for the last 2 days. The watch runs fine and accurate .... the only problem: it stops every night at 3:50am. First thought was: Power-Reserve too low....but this make the watch stop exactly at the same time? No! So I wonder if this is a common error and if it can be fixed by a movement overhaul? Can the WIS chime in please.....like to know of The Zigmeister ever did one of these sec@12 movement-overhauls. Thanks for your help Theo
  2. Exactly my thoughts when I looked at the pics....it s not that bad. But the damn price tag is bad.....I have to struggle hard to justify another +500$ rep. Love your pics....and I can second some of the members....comparison shot and a side-by-side wristy would be nice Theo
  3. That question never came into my mind....if someone sees my new watch I just keep telling them "its a fake, it was just 220$ " I am an underpaid but hardworking young man...I cannot afford such a watch as real deal haha no way! Easy, is
  4. What are they drinking up in the far east? If they really get this piece on the market with that known sec@12-price-tag....I am happy I spend half of that amount for the old sec@9 version..... The biggest flaw is the dial...you cannot see any gears because of that re-designed movement. My grandpa used to say: Get it right first time! Yeah...right. Theo
  5. Yes, the Big INGY rep is out......but hell...it is done as a small INGY in 42mm case It will take some more months before the factories realise that this watch should be 45mm Theo P.S.: If they would have done it right the first time they could have saved a lot of money....and I would have it on my wrist for sure
  6. I have this RO for over a year now....was told by the dealer that this one is not accurate and there are better ROO....but I bought it anyway....and I never regret a single day of wearing it. I simply love this watch....the dial color of black and grey is very understatement. The rubber is not the best but OK for the "older" quality. The movement is excellent and keeps good time. If you get a good price on it....GO FOR IT. Cheers Theo
  7. These are 2 completely differnt watches: PAM036 is special edition from 1998 with MM dial in brown and sapphire caseback PAM040 is a special edition from 1998 with LM dial in black with ss caseback (seemed to e produced for the asian market) The PAM040 is rarely seen in the real world....had only once the chance to have a real deal on my wrist. Cheers Theo
  8. Great work ....and nice orange wooden lume Theo
  9. Here is a pic of my watch with titanium bezel...very nice it looks
  10. First you need to "widen" the nylon-canal a bit...use a screw driver or nail of matching size. Than try to stick this small screwdriver (or a nail with the size of the pin) into the lugs and throuw the strap-canal (right side).... Now attache the strap pin carefully from the other side of the lugs (left side) untill screwdriver and pin meet....now you can pull out the screwdriver while pushing the pin in. That should help. Problem is the nylon witch is very soft and the pin gets caught in that "nylon-net" Wish you luck, Theo
  11. But you can as well use Titanium for the bezel....gives a similar look, only the weight is different! Theo
  12. Thank you Ross for posting. Dial #1 is not an official OP dial....it seems a watchmaker wnated to rescue a dead 3646 by putting a complete Rolex pocketwatch dial-movement-combo in the 3646 case.....before that, the watch had been a Cali-dial 3646, so the "new-old-look" was OK (the bezel of the Calidial was thinner due to the non-sandwich dial). I will look forward to see what dials you will produce next....I have some plans for 2 more projects Theo
  13. Please stop screaming! P.S.: ... there is no bracelet available for the T3 (and there never was a gen bracelet for it)
  14. Thats a very good result....the factory took the time to dig into details: - the Sachin dial is really nice....different to other ROO
  15. I got mine on Monday.....I love it now, after trying the 6th strap on it....have 4 more alternatives on the way. The new ceramic Top Gun is a super-rep.....and speaking of accuracy: mine runs like regulated to COSC spec
  16. WOW...thats georgeous....I love it. Is the PVD coating from the factory I think it is? SUGESTION: Just color the tip of the center chrono seconds in Ferrari-red.....thats it! ....and than you might color the white strap thread into red as well....hellovawacth Theo
  17. Thx for that advice....but I just ordered a new caseback-opener ... acomplete set with 12 pins in a wooden box....that should do the trick. Theo
  18. The watch runs fine so far. No dust on the dial. The hour markers at 3 and 9 o
  19. Dear members, yesterday I receoved my new IWC Top Gun ceramic.....was shipped in excellent time, save and sound. As I unwrapped it, I had to pull off the strap emediately....it is stiff and minor quality (in my books). The watch is light due to the ceramic case, titanium back, crown and pushers. The overall appearance is great....allthough I have to get used to the size....I think it looks smaller than 44mm, but that can as well be just a trick of the black case. Anyway....just 1 quick wristshot with an old REMREM velcro strap (I have this velcro for over 12 years now and sometimes it finds its way onto a watch ) Theo ADDITION: Found another strap I like on that watch
  20. Looks amazing S. You have the right feeling to put enough vintage spirit into your creations.....hands down Theo
  21. Just looking at the pic
  22. Lani, thank you for the flowers I believe that the ZULU strap will be here before the watch arrives. Anyway, will do some pics.....erhhh and BTW I did found another nice strap that I ordered a thicker one Theo
