UPDATE: I got the message from my "new" watchsmith that my Rubens Baricchello 2 is off his workbench and running smooth and easy for the last 2 days, chrono functions fine without any hassle. So thats good news so far.....have to send the NAVY now as well....thats a pricy spa for a 600$-rep that was 1 day old....makes it more worthy now Will keep you informed how it will work from now on. Cheers all, Theo -
Hey Lani.....touch-down...congrats on that piece. Full ceramic is sooo nice....only thing is...I do polish the case every 5 minutes with a small cloth because you see every fingerprint on it Where is the usual wristshot? Theo P.S.: Does your B&R PVD chrono need a new home now?

Why's a 42mm AP wearing bigger than a 44mm watch?
MADRED7 replied to shultz's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Actually the ROO with a bracelet wears "smaller" than with a leather strap due to the strap attachement....this is just a trick to the eye because with a dark strap the attachements do stick out more....bracelet and attachements and case are all the same color and make their appearance more balanced. I wear all my ROO -
Help on Strap Options for APROO black theme.
MADRED7 replied to bng123's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Your decision depends on what you prefer.... - real croc....APbands strap is one of the few options - carbon, rubber or kevlar....good price and quality with ORACLE - cheap alternative to have andlinks and a good deployant....rep-strap My suggestion is...buy the rubber-rep strap with endlinks and deployant....the endlinks are made to fit the case perfectly and the rubber is nearly 100% (have a rep and gen rubber and they do only differ if you are extremely sensual). The deployant is very nice as well....and in the end you get all three for under 100$ and you have the basis to buy other straps in the future! Just my 0.02$ Theo -
Help me select a strap..pics enclosed
MADRED7 replied to rogerthat's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
- Rubberclad only goes with the rubberstrap! - white Themes looks very nice on the hornback but will look way better on a dark grey white stitch (APbands have calf straps in that combo for around 150$) Just my 0.02$ Theo -

I strongly believe that my problems with those movements are no issues a proper QC will solve. My dealer has a good QC and inspects all watches prior to shipping.....and he is ALLWAYS responsible for his goods...he takes good care of me and I concider him more a friend than a dealer. Problem is the factory...they build these movements without taking "aftersales" or "garantees" into account. When the sec@12 movement dies they won -
Sorry, no pics...I googled it...no chance. Theo

There are some fashion-watches on the market....glassclear plastic is the case and the form/style is very similar to the APROO....if I do remember correctly, these watches have been banned from the boutiques/shops/markets due to the copy-like-look The watches were around 40$..... Theo P.S.: AP itself never did such a thing

OK...here you go: - power-reserve indicator is running but on a wrong position (a bit to close to the center) - datewindow is to close to the center as well - caseback is completely wrong.....this should be a simple caseback without the Limeted Edition....the original grey dial BP is white-gold anyway...not Platinum. - the price is 20% higher than all other dealers sell it You can now get the BP V1 with grey dial....fuax power-reserve but otherwise looks spot on. Cheers, Theo

Thanks for your thoughts.....I will wait for the outcome with Bricciola.....if he can fix the RB2....he will get the NAVY as well . Theo -
Dear all, I know it is not good to post and comment when you are angry and mad....but I have to tell you about this. It was all about my big love ... the AP Royal Oak Offshore chronos. I have all possible MBW models and he did a very special model upon my request in veeeerrry limited numbers....but it was only sec@9. So I was absolutely amazed and excited when they announced the sec@12 chronos where the factory managed to take care of all the visible flaws....the outcome was a dream-come-true, a AAA-looking timepiece, a real clone.....this time with seconds running correctly at 12 o

My eMail with a request for my new, dead Rubens Bricchello is on its way to him....will let you know what I will do. Thats great news and I was allways looking for a good guy inside EU....excited T.

MADRED7 replied to Mickey Padge's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
The price of 60-70k USD is just the market price....a question of demand and suplly, this LE is a rare bird and was released intimes where F1 racing was a #1 sport around the globe. The buying price was 28k! Theo -
Audemars Piguet Rubens Barrichello II
MADRED7 replied to Mickey Padge's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
@Mickey...great watch that is. i got mine last Friday, had it on my wrist a complete day before it died The watch itself is very well made...allthough please check the hex-nut screws that hold the pusher-covers (4 pieces)...mine came all loose and was only lucky to see that because my pushers were mounted upside-down ...so I unscrewed them, lift the covers, turned the pusher correct way, and screwed and secure the screws with glue. Anyway, its real titanium and ceramic....and I have to wait for an exchange-movement to swap in....I hate waiting! Wear it well...cheers mate. Theo P.S.: For all of the members with an AP and an itching-deployant....just mount the strap upside-down 8short strap part at 6 o -
WOW....one needs to have balls to do such a ride and build this watch.....and you need Arny-arms to wear this beast. I LOVE IT! Wear it well mate, Theo
-
Normally the dial should sit on the movement just with it
-
And here are some of my combos..... PAM028 on gen dark brown croc SlyTech BLACKSEAL on a MF grigio verde PAM009 on a gen rubberrised calf 5218-202A on a DZ brown shark ....at the moment I prefer black calf with black stitch. Enjoy your watch mate Theo
-
WOW...I really love it....you did a great job Can we please see some wristshots??!! Theo
-
Hi Swemike, but the best and easiest and cheapest solution is....turn the strap up-side-down. Normally one wears the short part of the strap at the 12 0

I place my question again: Can a 7750 be used as a handwind movement without getting damaged in the near future? Theo
