  6. Get yourself a black bund strap I have this genuine 16mm buckle..... a gift by a generous member. You need one like this
  7. 1655 caseback 1675 caseback
  8. Seriously M. Everytime I see you have made a new post in a WC thread...I'm like.....Mhm ...should I klick ....should I not. And everytime I klick, I'm happy for you, owning those great pieces and visiting those special places, but in the same time I'm like..... Motherf***er !
  9. No need to take this out personal. I don't even recollect us having an interaction before....so how come you're judging me? Freddy, I have nothing personal against you nor this board....I enjoy hanging out here and I'm in regular contact with lots of considered members as well. If you want we drop it....call it a gen then. If you want to convince us disbelievers, just open a thread on VRF and tell your story You'll get a 2nd, 3rd and 4rd opinion
  10. Mate you really don't get it do you? freddy's watch is a fake 6542 made from genuine parts. Why? Because of the white painted dial it imitates something it isn't. Therefore a fake or replica. No matter if the refinisher was Rolex certified...That's black market stuff and Rolex would never call that dial "genuine". Moreover the refinisher would never do it officially or bye bye license. It seems like you fail to comprehend the definition of 'replication' or 'fake'.
  11. Hi mate, any chance I can talk you into selling this watch to me? Unfortunately you can't receive any new PM's Please contact me via PM Cheers Akira Wearing:
  12. Rolex SA Geneva wouldn't touch that hypothetical DateJust with a 10foot pole
  13. Joey you don't get the difference. Custom is not the same as imitating something existing. The gen 6542 dial is printed to "look" like a white dial....which it isn't.....therefore it's a imitation/fake/replica/homage wtf you want to call it. Printing 'Comex' on a 5512 dial doesn't make it a 'Comex' dial, but a imitation of it. Writing 'JoeB is a smartass' on it, makes it a custom 5512 dial though. That's the big big big big big difference!
  14. Anyways like I said before.....you call it gen or not if you like. Doesn't make you any less of a watch collector with great taste in my eyes
  15. Exactly my point. A genuine damaged PN exotic 6263 dial gets refinished it still is a genuine PN exotic dial. However refinishing a genuine silver dial 6263 to look like a PN, even by a Rolex authorized refinisher, doesn't make it a PN dial and therefore 10x more valuable, Collectors wouldn't call it a gen PN dial either
  16. I'm not nitpicking with you.....call it whatever you like and makes you feel good. If it was up to me, you can call it 'The genuine holy Grail', 'Genuine Nessie' or 'The genuine magic bullet that shot JKF'
  17. This is not to be meant offensive to freddy.....it's just common sense. If I reprint a 5512 matte dial into a gilt dial.....it's still not a gen gilt dial!
  18. If freddy would take the watch to Rolex SA in Geneva they'd say: " Hello Sir, nice fake ass watch you have there. " Don't fool yourself.
  19. Well, freddy believe what ever you like and makes you feel better. It's a very very nice and desirable watch. Call it a Franken or gen or whatever, obviously you don't see the reasonable points mentioned by other members....for gen owners it will always be a fake ass watch. For the obvious reason....It simply isn't a gen white dial 6542.
  20. DW's older V72, V23 or MM dials were quite accurate and good quality. They still varied from batch to batch, depending on what the reason for the original rejection by the factory was
  21. My DW dial looks X-times better than the Phong dial IMO
