  1. Doc, If it had one, it'd be yours as you called dibs (ancient childhood claiming ceremony). Do you have it on rubber now? If not, maybe you want this one?
  2. OK folks. I placed the order. I wil be taking the movement and top pusher for myself. The remaining parts will be available. Please PM me if you're interested in something and we can discuss price. thanks - J
  3. At 45mm it is large but not, "grandfather clock on your wrist" large. It is the same diameter as the larger Omega Planet Ocean. Your Ghost is 44mm, your B&R 46! The case is made of bronze, titanium, burnished and polished steel, not gold. The pushers, crown and lugs are unique, the dial understated and the stiched rubber strap is classic. Anyhow, to each his own. That's why they make Invictas.
  4. Behold the Cuervo y Sobrinos Torpedo Pirata Chrono http://www.chrono24....cnum=0&tab=pics I love it. - J
  5. If anyone has the 'left' over, case, crown and movement from one of these builds, please shoot me your price. I am looking for donors for a project I'm undertaking and these are a 'close enough' option. thanks - J
  6. OK, chekcing on it with Toro. I'll let everyone know. thx - J
  7. I am considering buying one and parting it out. I only need the upper pusher but $350 is expensive for a single rep part. thx - J PS If anyone would be interested in the other parts, case, movement, bracelet etc... let me know.
  8. Mine is sitting on my desk as the top chrono pusher came off and is lost. I think it is my favorite and it is killing me trying to find the replacement part . Anyhow, good luck. I get compliments all the time on mine. Sent from my Android

Very interesting, thanks. Does anyone know if a gen or aftermarket bakelite tacometer bezel assembly will screw onto the this same case, replacing the solid one? Sent from my BB
  10. Daytona, you posted like 1000 watches, grail level all, from Domi. What gives? Hit the lottery? Anyway, beauty choices. Sent from my BB
  11. Let's give him a break. While poorly chosen, I don't think Super intended his intro to be offensive or condescending. Welcome to RWG Super. Remember to try the roast beef and tip my your waitresses.
  12. Nice work Zig. I am very glad there are skilled craftsman and watchsmith like you around. While I agree that general interest has faded for all things mechanical and precision, a small dedicated group of individuals will always exist. I am very heartened to see 'Maker' workshops popping up all over the US for people to get together and hack/build or experiment with just about anything. These are places where curious folks share experience, tools and ideas. So, not watchmakers per se, but the same set of individuals who like to know how things work, create new things and who appreciate mechanisms like vintage watch works. A bit off the topic, yes, but I'm sure many of us on these fora are that type. Zig, is of course a master and most of us neophytes. Sent from my BB
  13. I've been scouring the bay to find vintage light for my franken SD project, but everything I find is only about 8 minutes old...
  14. This is a beauty. Read the description to be totally sold! http://www.ebay.com/itm/HEBDOMAS-DIAL-SERIOUS-AMOUNT-LOOT-NUMBER-8-/251043461301?pt=Pocket_Watches&hash=item3a735b38b5

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can you remove and replace the stainless bezel assembly on the DW case or is the bezel actually a solidly connected part of that cas? If it is removable, what type of bezel assemblies will fit it? Danke - J
  16. Five down, many more to go Vly. Happy Anniversary from this noob.
  17. I'm from the Ministry of Magic, Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office, and I'm going to need to confiscate that there muggle time thingy. Please send it to...
  18. Miles, where do you get those lovely crowns? thank you - J
  19. I've read that a good method to achieve this is to put electrical tape up the entire SS outside-links to the edges of the gold mid-link and then polish with light Cape Cod cloth, or even toothpaste on the gold plate. Then, strip and reverse the tape and use a green Scoth-Brite pad on the SS outer-links. last, put it all in the utrasonic cleaner. voila
  20. saweeet! I am rapidly evolving into an IWC lover.
  21. Thanks. Yes, I think it is very understated and classy. Thanks 997
  22. Just received this watch and love it. I am wondering about recommended mods for this particular model. I was thinking a better crystal with AR and an upgraded deployant clasp and custom strap. Anything else? Who would you recommend in particular for this work in the US. Thank you - J
  23. I just tried. I need to have 16 posts to be able to post a WTB. I have only a few. - J
