  1. Anyone know if the Ti 3707 and or Ti Ingenieur are still available from trusted dealers? Thanks - J Sent from my BB
  2. Watch out with shipping, those get stuck in Customs all the time... Jk, welcome to the best club in the world, hands down (and one that can never be explained to non-members) - J Sent from my BB
  3. I am looking for a base for a Tudor chrono project. I need a case that will fit, or can be modified to fit an 7750 trimcompax and has the crown guards on the crown area. Anyone have anything they want to part with? Please send me a PM. thanks - J
  4. Drury, yes, that is the 'slevin' model. I am wearing mine right now. (Thanks to the guys who donated links so I could get this thing on my wrist!) Sent from my BB
  5. So, anyone know of any 7034 cases or similar with which I could build a Tudor chrono on the market now? Or, anyone interested in selling one? Thanks - J
  6. I call uncle. about ready to sell this Slevin if I can't find a link or entire bracelet for it. Any ideas on a nice, higher end source for a leather strap if I decide to try that? - J
  7. Bump... Searching for a slender Slevin senior to secure some stretch for my small strap. Sent from my BB
  8. I still need at least one link. Anyone willing to part with one? PM me with details. Thank you, J
  9. Actually, it probably could, since it would be nearly immune to the damaging current bursts caused by the electromagnetic waves resulting from the nuclear detonation... fun fact; most Russian military aircraft use tubes for this reason Most aircraft using microprocessors suffer from this vulnerability. Russia still has a 'tube' industry to this day, which also keeps the vintage audiophiles happy
  10. Please contact me if you've got one for sale. thx - J
  11. Wow, what model is that GMT in the first photo with the bezel numbers appearing below plexi/epoxy? - J
  12. Cheers & happy days you older git!
  13. I remember seeing a thread somewhere on one machinist who would align to the center of the crown hole and then plunge down with a taper mill. The taper of the mill would provide a round but decreasing diameter cut. That would seem to be the best option, but a file will work as well.
  14. Hike's avatars and signature photos always make me want to go be 'alone' for a while....
  15. I am in, with proper log in on BB Torch. We'll see if this keeps. Sent from my BlackBerry 9800 using Tapatalk
  16. I can't log in as myself, I can only log in as guest on my Blackberry Torch. It worked only one time, now guest only and no trade area.... ;(
  17. Awesome. I am working on a chrono Tudor build myself, though I'm going for the silver with black sub-dials and black bezel. Truly a beautiful watch. good job. - J
  18. interesting point. I must say, it never occurred to me that they might be masquerqading as WatchEden. I was thinking watchesen was 'watches en', like watches, england or something... Lol
  19. They have a Tudor Chrono rep body which I have been searching for, and they're the only site so far to list it. So, while I wouldn't normally consider buying from a site not advertising here, I am temped. Any thoughts? http://www.watchesen.com/tudor-classic-collection-oysterdate-steel-case.html
  20. OK, now that the 7750 (or 7734) have been identified as the movements which I should pursue, I need some advice on which is the more proper of the available rep cases, the 7031 or the 9420. I am ruling out the Daytona 6263/6265 from DW as they are V72 based, and this movement is an expensive proposition. The 7031 seems to have more squared CGs while the 9420 has more angular guards. I think this moves me into the 9420 only, but I am open to advice on the topic? Thanks, J
  21. Thanks much Drury! My hunt for a Swiss 7750 begins. Though, from what I've read, the quality of the current A7750s is very high as well. Copy something long enough and you can be as good, maybe better if your volume is higher than then lower volume gen. At least, it is possible. *ducking for cover now* Thanks again, J
