  1. Awesome, Rolli. Why don't you do a run of your dials on that top equipment and show what it will look like? I'd buy at least 2 dials off you, and I am sure half the pips on the list would do the same, in addition to this current project. The more the merrier I say! Go for it.
  2. Depends on rep manufacturer and version. H fac stuff I've tried is easy to tell... Earlier versions of 2011 had vanilla scent, later ones were lacking flexibility. A couple noob ones from early 2013 were excellent and I could not tell th from my gen, only sorted them by buckles as these are way off from any source. Bought a 390 Noob a few months back, and the rubber it come with from TD was visibly poorer quality, wrong shade of black and not as soft, so go figure. I personally will only buy accessories from AD or boutique, otherwise you are risking to get taken...
  3. Any update on release time of 201a? Itching to finish my build
  4. I guess it is ok as long as you get the final product right! That's why I am in favor of showing the final version in detail before collecting payments, you know 100% what you are selling and members know what they are paying for, no surprises and no mocking around with exchanges, refunds etc. clearly, no shortage of interest and you will easily sell whatever good stock you have, so take time, no rush...
  5. Mate, any chance of those better photos? Have PP ready...
  6. Mate, can I recommend you getting a decent camera and taking some good HQ shots, focusing on the indexes, lettering and the logo? Honestly, in some photos the indexes look very rough, edges are uneven and lettering appears too be not crisp and somewhat much fatter than the prototype you showed. Will be of great help to all of us, and I hope these smartphone photos do not do justice to your work. Thank you!
  7. That's cool. Any chance of seeing the final product with logo and lettering?
  8. Very nice....Getting ready for the new build, any updates on completion time?
  9. One thing that I hate on rads is that stupid wire lug design that seems to fail 8 out of 10 times and a main pita for strap changes...I wonder how are Kuvarsit cases performing in hat dept? Anyone in possession of this or,other KW as cares to comment?
  10. Well if you are able buy a gen and buy it well, just buy it...it will hold value quite well, scratches are easily buffed, issues are resolved with Panerai or by any good watchmaker as long as it is ETA, and if you ensure it properly, no prob replacing should it get lost etc. If you can't buy gen for whatever reason, just get the latest Noob, it is hands down the best version and blows DSN stuff out of the water. You don't need to do much on the front side of the watch, and the tells are mainly related to the movement which has several issues, some can be fixed by modders, others still be a problem. For that reason, I won't ever bother with reps with open caseback, just go with 005 for closer caseback and problem solved;) As you mention RWI, I assume you know of Ales guide, and it has all of that info and some more, with links to dealers etc so I suggest you read that and proceed from there...
  11. That's awesome news. Will you post detailed photos once the dials are printed?
  12. Would've good to have an update on timing of these, just to keep the funds ready if need be... Some tempting released by factories ATM

  14. You can either get a movement from any TD for around 100$ shipped and do a swap or simply get one of the noob or h fac pieces for around 300$ and move your piece in parts for may be 60-70$ if they are any good. I won't bother with resuming and mods as it will take some amount of money and a few months to get done, and still be inferior to the new reps.
  15. Same here, would love to get one of these...seems like DW is obviously too thin but that's an easy fix. Any clues as to where one can be sourced?
  16. Hmmm. A photo perhaps? Never heard of this before...
  17. That looks good. Are you selling them? I will PM for details if you say ÿes"as i need one of these
  18. Noob stuff cant be sourced from dealers but these pop up in parts sections on this and other boards and go for 60-80$ and sell very quickly. I sold one or two myself...These are the best non-gen items out there so if they are not good enough for your liking, the only way is either mod one yourself or go gen...
  19. Get a Noob one - such as 029 -the CG are pretty good. As for gen, I cant justify 600-800$ asking price for them but they do appear on viapaneristi from time to time. You need to know your CGs though as there are quite a few clowns passing on Noob stuff as gen.
  20. Kind of makes hard ot use the GMT function, dont you think? I use my all the time and would hate to see the bezel numbers covered in same color as bezel. Looks cool though...
  21. Hi folks I am looking for an alternative to Mario Paci's or Dirk's shark strap to use on my 201A. Ive looked at all usual high-ish end suspects (Gunny, Simona etc.) but they dont seem to carry them in the OEM style and gray-ish color that I've seen on many pre-V watches. The photo below is what I am after - this is a MP but at 250$ this is a bit too steep for a rep watch. Will appreciate if you can shere any ideas on a good source for these..
  22. You can ask me and I will get it for you in Geneva:) If seriously, PAM boutique here gets stocks first, and even most popular straps get re-stocked every 2 weeks or so as they are very close to the manufacturer. The asso straps in long size were impossible to get in continental Europe some 2 months ago, but in Geneva I ghot it after 12 days on the waiting list. Shipping to Oz is about 15$ with tracking - checked and verified as my family is in MEL and I've sent a few straps for my brother as he was facing same issue you descrtibed with ADs in MEL. Cheers!
  23. I have bought exact same crown from this seller and only received it a few days ago. This was for my E-series 113, building off the NOOB case. The CG fits really nicely, but required a bit of work to make it sit well on the case and properly closing, but after a few mins with a dremmel, all works really well. I've aged it a little and now the piece is done. Overall, better quality than any of the A-E series rep CGs I've handled myself (inc Sead's stuf). Not sure where this seller gest them but worth a try.
  24. The watch - especially pDv - rocks, I just received my 026K in the mail today and their PVD's got nothing on yours! A suggestion through - all the links in your signature are dead, may be worth removing or editing so they work again? Looks like quite a bit of interesting content through cant be acessed...
