My 2 cents: The answer to tourb's initial question would be: ART. I am not into PAM but if I was offered a nice PAM on a leather strap with the exact movement as the original, same mag etc etc. Then I would buy it. Even if it is 600 US, simply for the reason of admiring the craftmanship. That people are capable of producing the 99.99 % of the same quality & design for les then 10% of the costs.

buy a second hand scratched GMT Tudor, put it on a NATO strap. Everything you ask for at a low price, might even keep it through your voyage :-))

It is simple: I hate EBEL, but this one is great. I love Zenith, but not this one.. I love Breguet, and this one ROCKS!!! But will not win, or will not be produced in IMNO (in my noob opinion, other ones are less complex.) Including a rolex in the poll would have made it easier...

Expensive watches anyone??? For me the FM was he most expensive until I did some "research". Just imagine how far the industry has come along..just give me a silver dial breguet of the quality of the FM (near flawless" and I will get shaky knees as well.. So watches gents..
