  1. I finally got my 2 boxes and they are really beautiful. I need 2 more but my wife would kill me if she saw all my watches at the same time.
  2. As the title says, and have you received it? Not trying to raise concerns, just curious.
  3. HE WAS SCREWING WITH THEM! Wow, I thought they had no sense of humour. Did you even read the line about "instead of setting a bum on fire..."?
  4. EDITED BECAUSE FEW HERE GOT IT. Just to make sure nobody here makes the same mistake they've made, the original poster is taking the [censored]. I hate ruining a joke but you never know. This is pretty funny. I hope the poster is a member here. http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/mess...+Right%21%21%21
  5. Pretty funny actually. http://www.wwtdd.com/
  6. I like the case and bracelt but I think the dial is fug.
  7. I would suggest you give it a few more days before threatening a Paypal dispute. They just received it 2 days ago. I wouldn't even say the words "Paypal" dispute until you are ignored for a couple of weeks. I've never dealt with Angus but I suspect you will be fine.
  8. The first part, while awesome has been done by David Blaine years ago. Stick with this video for the second part. Amazing. http://www.glumbert.com/media/cyril
  9. This has been discussed before, and I think unless a dealer buys a gen and commissions it, having an idea doesn't warrent getting credit. If that was the case, I should get credit for agreeing and posting on the old RWG a long time ago that I would buy a HBB. Angus claimed he inadvertantly saw a prototype and then showed us the pics. He then asked for feedback and claims to have taken our info to the watchmaker for changes. I don't know how true the second part is, but so what? He kept members informed about a highly anticipated project and then promoted presales. He is a salesman, just like all the other dealers. In fact, Eddie often posts new watches a week before anyone else for a higher price and nobody has ever given him any grief. Bottom line, unless Angus has not delivered on what he promised in a timely fashion, he gets a from me for doing what no other dealers have done- caring about ( or pretending to care about) flaws as much as we do.
  10. Have you looked at Zeno? They are quite nice, actually nicer than they look in pictures and are 15mm. http://www.zeno-watch.ch/en/watches.html
  11. I have the Regulateur as well, and to be honest, I really like it but I don't love it. This things too damned hard to read at night. One of my clients just got this ltd edition 47mm Oris. I've tried it on and it's really fantastic and doesn't seem that huge. Here's a wrist shot, the dink e-mails me photos of his watch on vacation in Hawaii LOL. http://www.watchnet.com/forums/tradingpst/...mes;read=293665
  12. If you really aren't affiliated with George then you need to take a step back and look at yourself and this situation. There is nothing wrong with you overpaying for a watch from someone who has a reputation as a scammer- you're admittedly new to reps and that is why these sites were created. To help people like you in the future. There is definitely something wrong with you ignoring the proof being given to you that you overpayed for one of the lower end but very popular and great value rep subs out there. You see, we know this watch well. It has been reviewed and talked about literally dozens of times by well educated rep collectors and dealers alike. Nobody likes to hear they overpayed and maybe you're scrambling to save face with the waterproof issue but let it go and realize you payed too much for the exact watch you can get from trusted dealers here. The members of this board are the most educated and knowledgable watch collectors out there, rep or genuine. As for the watch being a true diver, there are tons of posts with members testing their watches. It's only the dealers who don't generally guarantee them. Why would they? They already deal with enough problems with returns. It's easier for most to say "don't get it wet.
  13. I really don't like the direction this thread has gone. I am totally surprised at the posts by Andrew and Joshua, particularly Joshua. It's not his usual style to badmouth another dealer. We are talking about around a 9% price difference between dealers. You don't see Paul singling people out for overcharging, and Eddie is generally pricier than everyone and no dealers gives him grief. Angus has been working pretty hard to keep people up to date on what is happening with this watch. If that is his angle, then let him do it. I know I've been waiting for this watch for a long time but I probably won't purchase from Angus. All dealers will benefit from his marketing of it, and you'll remember from his first post, he never took any credit for it's beginnings.
  14. I would absolutely buy a U-Boat Left Hook rep. I've wanted one for quite a while.
  15. A nice story, but even more importantly, how was Maiden?
  16. I'm starting to think this is one of those watches that looks better without a wrist under it.
  17. I was able to fit a screw from the nose pads on an old pair of eyeglasses. I have heard of people losing this screw at least 4 times with this model.
  18. Maybe it's different in glasses or maybe the old Pannies and Avengers were only coated on the inside, but as a hairstylist who uses sprays 10 times a day, I've never had it affect any of my watches AR. It's a [censored] to clean where the bezel meets the case and between the lugs though.
  19. I find it incredible that the Omega logo is off center and looks totally different than the real one. Those hooks really bug me. Also, what happened to the AR over the last 2 years? My first Panerais were always almost too blue. That's how this should look. I don'y get how if Joshua and Andrew commissioned this piece and they know what we want, where is the AR? That being said, I've been waiting for this watch since it came out and I'll buy one.
  20. There were just 3 of us there, and EL wasn't able to make it. Myself, CJ and another man whose screen name on RWI escapes me. CJ is clearly a PAM guy, and he had some gorgeous straps and a fantastic modded piece that I immediately thought was gen. The other gentleman had some cool reps and a very nice Invicata, a really great Steinhart and a very nice Oris. I went a bit overboard and brought pretty much my whole collection save for a couple of pieces. I was pretty ghetto, as my stuff was wrapped in a towel where these guys had very nice zippered leather cases. The servers were hot, the beer cold, the food was good and the subject matter and company couldn't have been better. I look forward to the next one. Sorry, no pics. Hopefully next time you'll be able to make it.
  21. Here is a link to a great celebrity news site with Michael RIchards' apology. http://www.wwtdd.com/
  22. I think you should also apologize for your not being able to post pics of any of your new watches in the way we have grown accustomed to, what with the new rules and all. It's a damn shame. Can you give us a link to a Photobucket page or something when you want to show off your next purchase? Thanks.
  23. I take the Omega as well. It is the least expensive of them all if they were all genunine. In my collection, my most expensive gen is a SMP but I don't have a single rep where the gen is anywhere near as cheap as any Omega. I hope this makes sense, it did in my head before I started typing it.
  24. I think it's a sign of his frustration with his career. It must be very tough to go from media darling and regular guest spots on Leno etc to basically being unemployable. The guy calling him out totally nailed it at the end and he new it, causing him to leave the stage. As for what he said, sadly, I think many white people would go to the "N" word pretty quickly if they were angry at a black person. It seems to happen a lot. Richards' actual racism seems to be deeper though. It's sad to see this. It will be interesting to hear his heartfelt apology a la Mel Gibson. It should be sometime today or tomorrow.
