Pride is great. I would love to see some crossover matches with UFC. Wanderlei Silva was supposed to fight Liddell but it looks like it won't happen, and Fedor apparantly was set to fight Tim Sylvia but that's not not going to happen either. I think Dana White doesn't want to see his "top" fighters get beaten. The top Pride guys are just too good. Could you imagine Fedor or Crocop in the octogon against any of the top UFC guys? It would be amazingly one-sided. I honestly think GSP can hang with anyone in his weight class in Pride. Wait till you see what he does with Matt Hughes. It's so awesome I've watched it 4 times already. Just so you know, Pride is talking to WWE about joint promotions. It could really take credibility away from MMA if (and when) Vince McMahon gets involved. He tried to work with the UFC but they told him "Never in a million years." Pride is so desperate to get into the USA market that they have already had meetings with him. Wrestling is huge in Japan so I don't think they truly understand how it will hurt their (and UFC) reputation if they get in bed with the WWE.

GSP totally dominated Hughes. I've never seen anything like it. I knew he could be beaten after the first 2 rounds against BJ last time but GSP made him look like a complete amateur. Hughes was saved by the bell but essentially KO'd twice in the fight, losing by knockout a minute into round 2 via a head kick and then some GnP. Other than maybe a Hughes rematch, I think the belt is secure with Georges for a long time. Poor Serra. Tim Sylvia had another snore fest with his decision win over Jeff Monson. Sylvia then called out Vera. Brandon Vera demolished Frank Mir in 1:09 of the first. Vera looked awesome and Mir looked really bad, thoughy at least he looked in shape this fight. It's sad but I think it's the end of the line for Mir in the UFC. All in all, another mediocre card with one incredible performance by Georges St. Pierre. The December Ortiz/ Liddell card looks good, with Arlovski and Griffen fighting (not eachother obviously) on the undercard. The interesting fight other than Tito/ Chuck will be Jason MacDonald VS Chris Leben. MacDonald was so impressive in his debut against Herman it will be interesting to see how he stacks up against a proven tough guy like Leben.

Something I really can't get past anymore is the CG lever pin. It is almost never flush to the CG. On this watch, it is even worse than usual. I have many clients wearing genuine Pams and the one thing that instantly seperates mine from theirs' is this one small but hugely and instantly noticable difference. Oddly enough, My old Abay 118 is absolutely perfect, though the lever is really loose.

This watch is only 42mm. It's really not that big. I think you read a "with crown" measurement. The $249 is for the SS with no guards.

After Panerai, nothing feels big anymore. I guess Panerai has made my wrist feel like an old female porn star. My advice, by the watch. It looks great and the fit and finish are high end.

I have tried on this watch and it looks amazing. I have no idea why I don't have it yet. I prefer the titanium ones with the crown guard. Cleaner dial and looks a little more rugged. Bigger bucks though.

I agree that their furniture is cheaply made and I would never buy a sofa etc but to write their furnishings off is to admit you don't have an open mind. I often buy things and use them in different applications than they were intended. I have saved thousands of dollars on retail shelving and fixtures, which allows me to have dynamic stores that I can afford to change up every couple of years. In one of my stores we bought the thick aluminum poled shelving systems and replaced the shelves that came with it with custom cut 1 inch glass. Instantly took a $500 of shelving and made it look like $5000. I have designed and built and renoed 5 hair salons and 3 homes in the last 8 years. I always mix a little Ikea in there. Generally, if I envision exactly what I need for a project, I will find something 90% perfect at Ikea for a fantastic price. If you saw my salons, you would be shocked at how inexpensive they were to build.

I was in Ikea today and I noticed the "co-worker's" watch as I was asking him a question. Genuine 45mm orange PO on black rubber. The conversation quickly moved from the table I wanted to ask about to watches. You could see his shock that I, a biker-looking guy with tattoos and a beard, new what he was wearing. I of course was equally surprised to see a $12 an hour young guy wearing it. I try his on at his urging (he barely glanced at my Orange Monster) and we talk about the new chronos, big watches in general and pricing for watches in Hong Kong as opposed to Vancouver. After 3 or 4 minutes, a very [censored] off guy next to me goes, "Can you help me with some FURNITURE please!" I guess I can't blame him, Sundays in Ikea are crazy and it's hard enough to get help, let alone when the sales people are talking watches with customers.

Wasn't there supposed to be an attempt at a group buy on this one? I'm still in if we can do it, I love this watch.

Frustrated with the marker issue of my 187, I finally purchased one of my favorite divers from a client of mine. I now have 3 of my favorite divers (does a "Monster" count? Because then I have 4) and once I get a UTS I will be a complete person. I would highly recommend the Nauticfish to anyone who likes divers and a big, tough watch. The bracelet is totally seventies cool but it also came with black leather and black rubber. I paid around $475 USD but a new one is around $900.

Eddie just PMd me about an exchange. I live in his city so it's pretty easy for me to drop it off for him. Interestingly enough, I brought the watch to work today to show a WIS client of mine and the f*cking pearl fell out of it. I don't know what I'll do with the new one. To remove all the markers AND pearl to reglue is a serious pain.

Has anyone with marker issues gotten a replacement bezel yet? It's really killing me I can't wear this watch.

Well, it's been less than a week and somehow last night I've lost 3 bezel markers, the 2 surrounding 30 and the one above 45. I'm very bummed, hopefully EL can send out replacements though I don't like the regluing idea. Reps!

The blood bath with Joe Stevenson was crazy. Awesome perormance and huge balls shown by Edwards to not quit. What the hell is with Frank Mir??? To show up that out of shape when you were once the champ is appalling. I kind of wish Tito would have backed off a little on Ken. I know the game is to take every advantage and end it as quickly as you can without getting hurt but it would have been nice to see Shamrock get beaten up for a little longer. Hopefulyy he stays retired, as he just can't compete. Arlovski looked really tentative and nervous for the first time. I don't know that he landed a single decent shot, and that is amazing considering his hand speed and accuracy. Sylvia looked so good, just calmly countering everything thrown at him. As much as I was hoping for Andrei to win his belt back, Tim has really become a terrific fighter. He's so disciplined and he was in such great shape that I can't see anyone beating him for a while. If there is anyone who doesn't know who Wanderlei Silva is and thinks Chuck Liddell is going to destroy another challenger, think again. If Chuck gets past Babaloo, Silva will be the toughest fight of his career. Silva is an animal and possibly the toughest human being on the planet, regardless of weight class.

Holy [censored]! I was seriously planning on posting my watch tan line and permanent scar on my hand from Panerai CGs. The spot is completely insensitive to touch and is shaped exactly like a crown guard. Anybody else have this?

I weighed mine and it came to nearly 27 grams, almost an ounce. I believe it's 49mm. It is ridiculous, and the first of my reps I have chosen to not wear a few times for the amount of attention it gets. Serious big pimpin'.
