  1. It is not glued for sure cuase I took mine out before. The reason, they do not sell extra is because supply is limited due to the fact that they are smuggled out of the factory that makes gen bezel.
  2. I think the rep case is thicker than the gen. The bottom of the lugs protudes lower than the back of the case. In the rep, it is the other way round. The rep looks too thick in fact.
  3. $1200 is a reaonable price and the gen finish is something the rep cannot match.
  4. T seems that the markers for the tag chrono can get tarnished after a while. Probably due to the metal used. I had to open mine up to clean it with microfiber cloth. After some time, it tarnished again... If you mind, you sgould get a watchsmith to clean it up for you.
  5. Looks awesome. The CF dial on the yeloow HBB also looks deeper than the normall SS...
  6. The tarnish on the markers are a common problem with this watch. I have to take the movement out to clean the markers. Aft some careful cleaning with microfiber cloth on a tweezer, it shines like it should now. But I have to do it again recently becuase it tarnish again after some time. I really do not know what is the problem here. Is it the metal that they use or becuase the air or something.
  7. Looks good enough. There are worst cases, especially for the orange dial...
  8. I thought the screw is connected to the screw for the case back? In that case, how did the front screw fall out unless it is not screwed to the front H-head screw in the first place...
  9. The rep strap is quite close in thickness but the faje alligator just does not look good.
  10. This is probably the most accurate replica of the Mont Blanc Timewalker Chrono ever made. First impressions: On first look, it really excited me quite a bit but soon like many other reps, I quickly start to hate myself for buying reps... The finishing touch for this watch is simply porr in my case. There are several big dust particles under the glass. It is very unacceptable and really annoyed me. It sticked out like a sore thumb every time I look at it. Definitely a dead giveaway. Movement: The sweep of the chrono is not very smooth and it sttuers sometimes. Hopefully it will last... Otherwise everything works like it should. Dial: It has a sort of brushed steel look beneath the black translucent paint. This is very accrate. But fine scratches can ve seem on some parts of the dial. Case. The case is gorgeous. It is 1:1 as much as I can see and it even has the textured steel part inside of the skeleton lugs (see pics). The mont blanc logo on the crown is very good. Lines of the logo are very sharp. Bracelet: Overall finishing is excellent, surface is nice and even. Flaws: Rotor no CDG, no lume, dust! Overall: After opening the case from the front to get to the dial and clean out the dust, this is a great rep worthy of a place in anyone's collection. Enjoy the pictures...
  11. I totally agree. It is one of the nicest divers chrono I have seen, though I prefer the red and black bezel model.
  12. This is just the usual commercial practice. Since there is high demand initially, just milk the early adopters, just like technology. In time, with new models and improved versions, the price will drop. The makers will probably not just make 100 watches and stop. They will probably make thousands to cover their cost and make a decent profit. Soon they will realise that not many are bitting and they will lower the price to sell off their stock...
  13. Yes, the threads are on the inside of the tube. If you still cannot screw down, the threads inside might have been stripped. Mine came with no screws on the spacer as well. I am trying to get the dealer to send me the screws. Who did you get from. Lets see if it is a problem with one dealer's stock or the QC is just not there for all the new PO...
  14. Good to know there are a few more people from Singapore here. Maybe we can do a gethering of sort someday to talk about watches... Btw, please share the info with us and pm me info about the dealer as well. Good thing must share...
  15. For those getting the 45mm PO, please be aware that aome of the orange numbering dials have the slanted omega logo. The white numbering does not have this problem. So those getting this ultimate PO, please beware... Just a friendly advice...
  16. This is the Panerai 183H with the dagger swan neck from Silix. Overall, the watch buil, look and feel is excellent. There are only minor flaws with this watch Dial: Looks darker than my CN version, numbers and markers are cut clean and printing is nice and straight. Lume: better than average rep lume. Case: Well finished and the lug wires are the correct length. Some of the 183s have longer lug wires which makes it look aweful. Movement: about +/-15 sec per day, engraving is nice but not as even as gen CDG, the Panerai engraving is thinner than the previous swiss version and looks more accurate. But some of the letters like E are a little crooked. Strap: normal rep quality (not shown). Pic is showing a black with gold stitch from TCStraps. Dealer: Silix is great as usual and delivery is fast within 4-5 days upon payment... Now, just enjoy the pics... Anyone getting a 183H should consider getting this. It is great value for its price.
  17. I think the problem is probably due to the crown and stem assembly. The glue that holds the crown and the stem together might have came off and the crown is screwed further into the stem, shortening the length of the stem. This cause the stem from not being able to engage the winding position full, causing the stem to slip and not wind. It happened to my IWC portugese. You can either reglue the stem or place something in the crown to prevent it from being screwed further into the stem...
  18. Just another observation, the small numbering on the outer dial does not align with the stick markers. 60 is right above 2 of "12", all the rest are not centered. Mine (not from this group buy) does not have this problem. I also notice that there is another flaw with this model. The dial is slightly tilted anti-clockwise by a degree or two. Somehow visually it never look properly centered... Oh well... Reps are like that... silly annoyance...
  19. Update: I open up the watch and it is paint chip for sure... some paint just flaked off when I open it. With some black permanent fine tip marker and some patience under the loupe, I managed to make it look ok... You can still see a little of the black paint at the 41 to 43 mark. But it look just fine in normal viewing distance... The end result...
  20. I thought it can be glue as well. However, the top ring is glued to the dial. Why would they want to glue top of this top black ring to the underside of the bezel. So most likely it is mishandled in the factory causing inconsistency in the dial quality... Why can't they just put in a little more effort. Everytime I get a watch, 60% of the time, I would need to open it up to clean out the fingerprints and stuff.. Sigh...
  21. Looks like this problem spoils s an otherwise very high quality watch... Hmmm...
  22. Thanks. How do you suggest it can be fixed?
  23. After so much hype about the IWC Ingenieur, I succumb to ordering one. I just received today and the watch looks great at first glance and feels really solid. However, on closer inspection, there seem to be a very minor cosmetic flaw on the dial. The black paint on the edge of the dial where the whilte markings and small numbering is, seem to be chipped off on some parts (see pic). I thought it just my luck to get a bad piece... However, after going through several other pics posted by pthers, the problem seems more prevalent than I thought. The pic posted by Sql pl also showed the same problem. The pics posted by other shows similar problem but I cannot pinpoint it as the pics are a bit too low-res or the angle shown is not obvious. Can those members that got the IWC Ingenieur please check if you got such a problem and report in this thread? I would just like to find out how many of us have this chipped paint issue at the edge of the dial. Thanks. Sql pl: I wanted to check with you on this problem through pm but I think your pm is full or something. Hope you do not mind me using your pic as an illustration. Thanks.
