  1. Nice watch. But the issue with the second factory HBB is the carbon fiber dial. If you take a look at the dial it does not have the textured line running across the little squares. The original factory HBB dials has that. It also seems that the non-textured CF dial is more for the Luna Rosa model.
  2. Looks like all the new versions are fantasy watches. The limited editions yellow, orange and blue only comes in PVD/DLC case. Not SS. Maybe the PVD ones are going to be also released soon.
  3. Can you share who did you get it from? At least we know whose stock to avoid in the future... Thanks.
  4. Nice workstation. Pics are too small though, cannot see the details.
  5. It is not going to be as simple as what some wrote here if you are doing it for the first time. The chance of ruining the watch is very high. More so if you do not have the tools. The dials and hands are fragile, one wrong slip and there will be marks or unsightly scrtach that will haunt you like a sore everytime you look at the watch. I suggest you take it to a competent watchsmith to do it. Even then, get somone who is a true watchsmith not those aho change battery for quartz watch type. Hope you can get it solved. I learmt this the hard way.
  6. It is very close but not the same. The gen has better finishing, edges are more defined, no crooked markers, dial is extremely clean with no little speck or imperfection in paint, bezel is aligned straight, etc. So from a distant, the rep looks fine, but any gen for that matter will trash the rep in the finishing department period. Thats why its gen.
  7. Quality looks really bad if you actually seen the gen. These are not so accurate and you can tell its a rep from a distant. Suggest anyone who is used to the type of quality we are used to here to hold out. The third pic from josh, the lume on the markers is a joke... uneven and looks like bird-droppings.
  8. Somehow the crownguard and crown looks weird together. The crown looks too small and does not the deep enough recess at the top of the crown.
  9. blue only for gen. Caseback is wrong for the rep as well.
  10. Looks amazing. The U series starting with the U1 has became the cult and most unique design for the Sinn branding. The new U1000 seems to be going in the right direction to follow on with the sucess of the U1. Unfortunately, the price has also been inflated over the years since U1 was introduced following its success. But really like the overall look of the U1000 black. Great military diver look.
  11. Here is the Gen. It has more red colour tone in the dial. Seen the real thing at the AD and the shade is the same as the picture. The mat look certainly make it more wearable if you are working and not a rich loafer.
  12. Colour of the dial still seems a little off. Gen is more rose gold. But still, it looks great.
  13. The watch has an unique design with the use of rose gold, titanium and rubber. Either you love it or hate it out right. It can be considered gaudy to some but haute to others. The replica is pretty costly but considering the quality and price of the gen, in my opinion, it is still good value for the money. On to the pictures: The details on the dial is simply amazing. The striaght lines running down the centre of the dial, concentric circles on the subdial, windmill second hands and the rose gold numerals are all very well done. It replicate the depth and texture of the dial perfectly. The markings and numbers are also printed sharp and crisp. The watch itself is very light being titanium and the rose gold is plated in the correct colour tone. However, the rubber is rather stiff and it is not very comfortable for smaller wrist wearer as the rubber makes the clasp press hard on your wrist. You have to cut the rubber strap to also size it. So you have to cut one section at a time cause there is no turning back if it is too small. Next, you can see the AR is blue but not the strongest like what we see in the Hublot. This is the same double AR seen in the newer Ingeneiur and Chopard GTXL. Though not the best, it is sufficent to make the dial very visible in all angles. As you can see, the black portion on the side of the case is actually rubber or plastic. It is quite interesting to see that the replica managed to blend the rubber into the various parts of the watch. The crown and pushers are very detailed. Rubber parts are seen here in the crown and pushers as well. The quality of these parts are excellent and should be second only to the gen. The rotor is engraved and looks exactly like the gen. The CDG is not as finely finished just like all other replicas. Lastly shot of the strap and the buckle. Wristshot. This is truly a fine replica and the quality of the finish is excellent. So if you like the watch, you can be assured you will not be dissappointed...
  14. I think you will have a better chance getting from the collectors. Worst case scenario is to get a HBB lite to replace.
  15. Anyone has any comments on the new DEWITT watches from King? Looks like a meshed up of styles but looks really haute. Accuracy wise, it looks spot on with the exception of the colour of the chrono min subdial as it looks more white than silver in gen. What do you guys think? Btw, its titanium and rose gold...
  16. Both movements are 28.8k, so the sweep is equally smooth.
  17. Here is a mini comparison between my gen BR03-92 and the rep. I was pretty excited knowing that a BR03-92 was released some months back. However, upon comparing the pitures from the dealers and some members, it seems that the rep is not close to gen compared to some recent release like the Corum Admiral's Cup or IWC aquatimer chrono (just out). On to the pictures... I took Angus's pics for comparison... From the front, it looks very close. PVD is also close because the gen is strictly speaking not the usual bead-blasted type of PVD we see in PAMs. Gen Rep Basically the case is too thick and I believe they have copied the BR03-94, chrono casing instead. Also notice that the groove on the side of the case is wider and recessed. The rep crown looks accurate though. Gen REp The back of the watch is also quite well done for the rep. With the exception of the placement of the screw hole for the stem release, both are similar. Again, note the pvd on the rep is very close to the gen. Gen Rep The buckle and the rubber strap is spot on, both texture and feel. Gen is slightly more rounded on the edge of the buckle. Gen Rep Lastly the lume on the gen is blue, rep is green markers / blue hands. It does not glow as brightly as C3 lume but it is very visible in the dark. This shot is taken 1/8s exposure in the day time to show how it will look indoors in a slightly darkened room. Overall, I think the rep is already quite good in the overall look and feel of the watch. PVD is also quite close on the rep. However, the case thickness is disappointing. The BR01 reps which have the same thickness as the BR03 gen, can be made but it cannot be done for the BR03. Perhaps it is the thickness of movement.. I do not know for sure. AR should be the same when I compare my rep BR01 with my gen. So the single side AR on the Rep should look the same as gen is single AR as well. Also it is missing the distictive groove on the side of the case. Basically I think they have copied the chrono case instead. Lume is also wrong for the rep for this version. At about $180 a pop for the rep, I feel it is a little steep given that it comes with a unproven asian 4813 movement. My BR01 rep cannot manual wind now and the second hands seems to jump around when turning the crown at times. So the quest is still on for a ultimate Bell & Ross, maybe in 2008???
  18. Lol... I am sure she did it intentionally so that you can have an upright shot of your watch...
  19. Bro, take a look at the endlinks attached to the case at the 12 o'clock side. It has a big gap. I had 2 of this VC overseas without AR some 6 months ago. The problem with this watch is that these endlinks just detach itself after a while and the screws holding them down gets stripped very easily. The screw holes are very badly tapped thats why he screws get stripped so easily. In the end I got to epoxy it and screw it down with larger screws. Maybe you should get it changed with silix.
  20. If the lume is as bad as what tourby described, they might not be applying as much superlume on the dial as before. The lume on my grand marquis is quite good but not as good as one of my very first genaration SS Steinhart pilot or the superlume on my PAM111H. But in terms of design, the Steinhart is certainly very nice...
  21. Is this a rep and who did you get it from? Most of the pics I saw of the rep has straight vertial carbon fibre patterns unlike the 45 degrees tilt in the gen.
  22. It seems to me that it might not worth the while to go through all this effort as the case is thicker than the gen. Just my thoughts...
