hey j, wish you could be up here but it looks like you guys have your own SoCal get together next time you're up, hit me up and i'll do the same next time im in SD. i might take my girlfriend's camera. but it will detract from carrying more watches hopefully one of the boys will have a camera to bring dave -
Just emailed Angus and he advised he could get it, I usually don't do pictorials, but I'll grab the girlfriend's Nikon and take some flicks when it arrives. I have a black one coming, but I'll grab a white, better yet a safari if they offer it. If they offer the rubber bezel and strap, i'm grabbing those to switch out the look. It's been a LONG time since a rep had me excited, now the only other rep I want is a 1:1 Big Pilot. Enjoy guys, I'm sure other members will be posting shortly. dave

That link is for the AP ROO secs @ 9, the one being offered is NEW. Just pulled the trigger on a Black Themes AP ROO secs @ 12, $598 shipped is not ridiculous for a watch that many of us have been waiting for YEARS The secs @ 9 for the $499 price has sold well, but $100 more for a correct subdial movement works for me...so glad I had to talk myself out of ordering it dozens of times. Is the HBB Ceramic overpriced, maybe...but I'm enjoying mine still...and this being one of my grails for less than the HBB, it's a no brainer. dave p.s. angus matched other dealer pricing, send a refund for the difference.
-
Angus is around, I sent him an email several days ago about placing an order for the AP ROO secs @ 12, no response until today. Sent my payment, I'm sure I'll have tracking shortly. Angus is one of our finest dealers who has always provided excellent service and products.

I was just looking on the bay, you never know what surprising gems you might find... unfortunately came across a shitty fake, an asian 188 posing as a 251...obviously a scammer that doesn't know his panerais. first, it's a 188, not a 251 the recessed datewheel is the giveaway i wonder how many people get scammed all the time?

Awesome, I feel like hopping on a plane to join you guys...and I'm in San Francisco! I'm sure the Cuban food will be amazing, I miss my weekly Versailles fix when I lived in LA for 4 years...garlic chicken roast pork, fried plantains...I already know the watches will be amazing. have a great time! dave
-
Theo, you're a maniac!!! I love it! Did you get your PVD 28 back yet??? I hope this comes out soon, this is the only new release watch that has me wanting it like my early days of collecting with Eddie Lee. I see a black themes and a safari in BOTH SS and RUBBERCLAD(if it is true that we can swap bezels). stop the teasing and let's start with the pleasing...

Hey guys, Getting together with Shane(Slai) and Brad(DeltaTahoe) for a drink or 2, with possibly dinner on Sunday 6/22 after 7:30 in San Francisco. Slai is out here on Biz for the week, and was going to help ship a special bottle of tequila for The Zigmeister. If anyone else wants to meet up, let us know. Drinks, Food, Watches and Friends=Good time dave

Didn't get the email from angus, sent sent him a message. Does anyone know if they are making different models?...Because I need a Black Themes, a Safari, and a Black Rubberclad...and a Rose Rubberclad...
-
I'm ready for it regardless, I've always been a BIG fan of the ROO that I almost pulled the trigger on a AP ROO rubberclad...but, figured I should wait and enjoy the rep. The seconds @ 9:00 are too big of a tell, that I would try the seconds @ 12:00. I've had 3 daytonas seconds @ 6:00 and they all worked fine, but my Ingy Chrono with seconds @ 6:00 pooped out on me so you never know.

Thanks lello as always. Your datewheels grace many of my watches and I am always appreciative for your efforts!

Awesome, I got one from V but shipped it with a modded 111h to a lucky member in Australia...enjoy. Now I wish I had ordered 2 so that I could have kept one...this was a special project that may or may not ever be replicated again so those lucky members that have them are...lucky!

I agree, Angus is awesome...My favorite and best dealer of all time was the legendary Eddie Lee, but when Eddie "retired", Angus became my go to guy and he has never let me down. He has always delivered the goods and resolved any issues. I've heard from others that he's been difficult to reach lately, but I haven't ordered a new watch in the last 3-4 months mainly because...nothing new has caught my fancy.
-
Sorry to hear that Dani, I've had many losses in many areas throughout my years, but when it's something personal, it sucks even more. I think the 063 is the one I sold you so it was definitely one of the special fully modded reps, sorry to see it go. After I missed mine, I had to go and grab Ajoesmith's because I missed it so, perhaps your new PAM 28 PVD project will be your new super rep. You will get your grails back, although it will take time and effort... So sorry to hear that my friend. In regards to customs, I've sent dozens of watches back and forth with ZERO issues in Canada. It could happen sending the watch to China, Italy, Estonia, Australia...things get lost, and worse...things get stolen...but you shouldn't let one incident change your whole attitude toward a hobby that you genuinely love. dave

Got my GF a Womens Rolex Yachtmaster and she's still loving it, a strong recommendation from Eddie Lee which was right on the money.

On the first page of the thread posted by the Admin, he posted this link. Here it is: http://www.seochamps.net/forum you will set up a new username using your current rwg email access and password. after setting up your new account, you can click on the donate icon button, which will then allow you to donate. it was quick and pleasant, and i'm happy to see many familiar member names listed on the donation page. hope this helps everyone that wants to donate a full year's support without the concern of reoccurring monthly debits. dave

We have a home here @ RWG, let's make sure we keep the lights on. Our forum is built upon our members, hoping our members build upon our site. Payment enroute, our Admin already does enough for us..., let's help shoulder some of the cost. I also don't like recurring billing so I just made a donation for the whole year..an easier option for those who don't want the monthly billing! dave aka donor #77

Slai, send me a PM! I had spaced it, been so busy with several work and personal projects. I look forward to see in this coming month...and emancipating this bottle of relaxation for Rob and Jen.
-
hmmmm...no, the girlfriend would kill me...
-
I was going to try and esnipe it, but it went over my bid price...and I thought I was bidding high
-
Hey Rob, Grab the keys and just go, sometimes you need to get away to get perspective on things...I often find I need to take off on a roadtrip or on a flight for a weekend just to sort through things in business and in life...just got back from a San Diego and Baja Mexico trip. It's a shame that new and old members do not realize not only the amazing services that Rob offers, but his experience and true passion for watches which we benefit from. I appreciate all you have done for us, and continue to selectively do for us. All my projects that you have worked on for me have been top notch, and even though I walked away from reps and concentrated on gens, what has me back to doing projects are the amazing members, the insight and talents that are offered that allows us to pursue our hobby...and I thank you. Grab your amazing partner in crime(jen) and enjoy some time off, the world will not stop, watches will be waiting, but your enjoyment of participating in whatever capacity you choose will be there when you're ready. I wish you well, and if you hit the road and keep going all the way to San Francisco, I will put my fellow Canadian girlfriend hard at work mixing cocktail after cocktail! bestest!!! dave p.s. been sipping on a few tequilas tonite, a Centinella 7 year, a Reserva de la Familia and a Cabo Uno tonite...I still have a wonderful bottle of Partida Elegante Extra Anejo to send up to The Zigmeister for his and her "relaxation" time. Is anyone going up to Canada from the states that can accept a package then ship out to Rob? I'm coming up on an extra year it's collecting dust, and aging in the bottle isn't the same as aging in the barrel.

Wow, NICE one Kai...
-
I'm definitely in, is this project in design stage or is it moving? amazing dave
-
Wow, those two are nice Warren! Great 162, I know you were on the hunt before finding the right deal...I got a great deal(we'll see, the watch hasn't arrived yet) on my 188 but the fully modded rep looks fantastic. I would have been happy to have either the gen which is coming or the fully modded one. Your watch looks amazing. It's funny, I've owned almost all the 7753 PAM chronos...the 196, 250, and 251...and my favorites are the original 196 an 188. The dial with the arabic numbers do it for me and it just looks classic. I always regretted not getting the 188 back in the day from Eddie Lee but it was during my early days of collecting. I now follow the principle that if you like it, go for it. If it doesn't suit you, you can always sell it and share it with other members. Alright, I better get of RWG before I waste my day away daydreaming about Panerais...
