Its a gen dial.. I would not try doing the job yourself . Gen dials make the watch. I hated the silverish dial on the rep. This is mine

Besides the appearance of Mickey Mouse on the dial I rather like it..

I have to agree on the rubber strap. It's the best rep strap I've had to date although i do have a kain heritage on the way. This is the first Pam I've received without a wobbly CG lever. I did use the dental floss mod on the bezel which made it perfect. I was wondering how the lume color compared to the gen not in brightness but in shade of green.

PAM243.. Side note to 243 owners or future owners One thing I did notice is the bezel seemed a tad loose and was a little tinny sounding when you tapped on it so I did the ole dental floss mod and it worked like a charm. Turning the bezel is a little stiffer and feels solid as a rock now..

Ahhh it does separate. I was trying earlier to push the QR with the plastic tool but it didn't seem to depress, didn't try very hard mind you. Am I missing something ?

So I received my 243 today and I have no experience with this QR business. I'm guessing I just pressing the button with a spring bar tool the press out the pin with the plastic Panerai tool provided. These things make me a little nervous but with a new Kain Shark on the way I want to make sure I do it right .. Thank you QR noob
