  1. The bezel is the biggest tell. Depper engravings and slightly silverish tint on the numbers on the GEN. So the gen is on the right. Also considering the lighting, the Rolex steel is slightly more yellow (warm) than rep steel. You can actually see that on the photos. Regardless, if not put together it is imposible to tell the difference...
  2. I just purchased this model but go a bit worried about the inner "facet" of the cg as opposed of it being square. After a lot of research it seems there are variations on the gen. Check this picture of a gen (unknown series) with inner edges much more "rounded" or faceted than our reps.... i think this one needs to be reevaluated to supre rep...IF and only if the series produced has rounded or faceted inner corners. If not... this model is a notch above first class and a notch below super rep...just because it may have a cg modeled after another series...i personally don´t mind... Chek out this gen:
  3. Anyone heard of purse valley??? Are there any trusted dealers for purses?
  4. I held one at an AD and my surprise was that it was really light... Actually it was titanium light...! I think it is not titanium but to me it's something to take note of...
  5. I am a big fan of Angus and his team, they are actually really good, if a little slow...but good.
  6. PM him... It's like 420 for base watch + 20 for pearl mod + 20 for waterproofing or something like that. Go for the full workout it is worth it... He does take a while though...
  7. The best DSSD is from BK, check the trusted dealers section.
  8. I just wanted to say hi to this community. I usually wonder other rep. neighborhoods and for some reason have been completely absent on this one. Hi guys form South America!
  9. You can make it done with rapid prototyping (3d printing) there are a number of companies out there that do that service.
  10. I have a nighthawk that am selling at another forum. The case itself is ok but the glass is terribly scratched. Am selling it for very low price for someone with skill to do a build... Or maybe someone could change the glass for sapphire!!
  11. It may be the pictures since it is difficult to photograph but it seems to me that the gen's glass has straighter edges. Mine is a broad arrow GMT so it may not be the exact model of your rep but take a look at my gen... Can you notice the almost vertical sides?...iPad camera sucks btw...
  12. Panatime has the screws, they are like 5 bucks...(look at the bottom of the page here:) http://www.panatime.com/scallsc.html

  17. Hi all, this is a great community and a great forum, and this is my first posti!! So here it is: I had the same problem and the fix is actually quite simple but requires a little skill. The rotor while it spins, "it Winds The watch" but it does it while it spins in one direction only. When the rotor spins in the other direction, the bearings allow it but the gear it winds is actually "parked" in place. The problem with MY watch was that the "parking break" was not engaging so when the rotor was winding in one direcion, it was unwinding the mechanism in the other. The solution is to bend the break a little to make it engage the gear properly. I did it and now i have a 2 day power reserve... When you remove the rotor you will clearly see the gear the rotor spins, and you will see a spy hole showing a tiny metal "needle" that is supposed to press against it. That needle is supposed to allow the gear to spin in only one direction. You'll get it when you see it. Bend it a little and it will be fixed.. I also added a little grease to the bearings of the rotor to add a little bit of drag which is good... Hope this helps...
