Nanuq has claimed the dial as I'm not gonna use it. I'm using a MQ red dial and hands. The watch just needs a few things.. if anyone can help out with such said things listed please chime in!!
-Needs new tube
-Needs correct bezel insert
-Needs a 93150 or 9315
-Original white dial has no luminous material left. Seller suggests removing the rest as there's barely any. Maybe have it relumed along with the hands?
I have 3 packages being shipped and not one has updated in over a week. The last one to have made it took 3 weeks! Any one else experiencing this issue?
Aright guys and gals. I have been in the watch hobby for many years and I have finally decided to start a build on a dream project I have never ventured on. A red 1680
I just got a dial from Ebay and want opinions. It looked nice for the price and I'll need parts and if anyone out there has anything out of the list provided please PM me! I'm very excited to start this build as I have been in love with this particular watch since I knew what a Rolex was. I'm a little surprised at myself it took this long to start this build but here is my ideal package..
phong case 2mil
gen 127 top hat
gen 700 crown and tube
aged insert pearl or no pearl don't really care
gen 1570 silver date disc if possible
matched hands for the dial
gen 93150
i believe you have the right to list it at market value or list it for how ever you feel is fair. It's your personal decision to list it for how ever much you feel is fair. You're not obligated to list it for 50.00 but i bet a lot of folks would appreciate buying it for the same price you paid.

I do not think buying said parts below market value and selling for market value is profiteering at all and I believe this caused a big stir on one of my threads. What I believe to be profiteering is buying said item with the intent of making profit and listing above market value. For example if you bought that bracelet and it's usual price is 700-750 and you buy it for 600 knowing you may find a guy desperate in the middle of a build and list it for 850.00 here on the forums.. well that is when a line is crossed in my eyes. If you buy a bracelet for 450.00 on a hell of a buy I don't think it's fair to say you should be forced to sell at that cost but if you decide to do so that's your business. It would be fair in my eyes to sell it at market value according to its market price and condition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Perhaps he is moving on to a more professional website. I think people are quick to jump to a negative idea of what's happening. He is a smart guy I'm sure he realizes he needs a little bit more to his site than just being a blog.
