PBdad is going to SL the pearl for me instead of me having to source a whole new pearl so this is a huge relief! I believe he may have one more insert left for all I know its the one with SL and he just gave me the wrong one not knowing what I was intending...oh well it all works itself out in the end

Gen insert is the way to go cause IMHO the pearl is the quickest tell or if you want a cheaper route you can get nice afternarket pearls from eBay supplier watch material I believe someone can chime in if they know what I'm referring to. Good luck on your TW!

Mine is sooo close to being done guys! BK has my insert,crystal,crown, and tube just need the pearl re-lumed by PBdad and presto super sub of the day! ill post pis if know one else will

Thanks bud! I really appreciate you trying to help me out earlier. I'm super excited to have finally got all this in the works minus this little bump. I hear for luming vac is the best? And I thought gen crystals didn't have dotted crowns rather straight solid etches? I am learning as I go when it comes to all these parts! Also I added a Clark's click spring to the watch so let's hope it gives me a nicer gen like rotation! Only thing I have left to do is get my Franken 93250 some spa time. I want it rebrushed and the edges softened so it's not so sharp. Noob bracelet with TW clasp assembly and TW end links! Looks really nice. Btw I'll have a lot of TW Parts if anyone needs anything

So today I bought a genuine insert that my local watch maker sourced for me that is brand new. one major problem though. the pearl does not glow at all any more!!! I left it in the sun for 5 minutes walked inside and even got it in the darkest room and no green luminous. So I am wondering what should I do or what CAN I do? Is it possible to have the insert relumed? can I buy a gen pearl somewhere? what should I do? the big reason I bought a genuine insert was for the luminous perfect pearl. PICS BELOW.

Well the insert and pearl are genuine the pearl just does not glow any more I figure it's 10+ years old

So a good friend of mine got me some gen parts for my TW which was a crystal and insert. The pearl is perfect on it but it does not glow!!! Wtf!?! Has flat top 4 and the crystal had a s micro etched in the crowns base and it's dotted is this normal? Thanks guys! Also got gen crown and tube off the bay

Is it the 21j model or the Swiss eta? Also was the watch dropped or jarred really hard?
