Why do you hack the movement?

As the title states...I've always loved the Daytona and I have read on some dealers sights that they have a more reliable 31 jewel movement and don't know what to think of it. Also I know that the a7750 has been modded to be better and if I can do that who would be the best to do the job. And also if I do get it modded can I safely use the chrono features?

Do gen inserts fit the noob subs?

I personally like the service crystals. makes it more convincing where are reps with rep service crystals lol if you need inserts I have those PM me if you need one to go with that xstal

My 1680 is actually about to get the super PBDAD touch. I am going to have him do everything possible to it to get as close as GEN possible. right now I have an old MBW case with gen crown, tube, crystal, and pearl which glows nice. PBdad is going to clean up the xstal, trim CGs, age insert, service movement, correct DW position and other things I cant think of off the top of my head but once its done it goes right next to my BK TW with the same gen mods. I am looking to buy another dial as well from ingod44. I really want the clean red sub dial with white instead of yellow markers

I know a few people around here have been looking for gen inserts and thought I'd share that I have posted some in the tools and parts. All used have a great day everyone!

No prob. also I agree with ww12345 go with a BK cause when your ready you can go franken and have something that will look indistinguishable from the gen mine is coming back from BK with gen crown tube crystal and insert. Ill show you pics soon

For the sub go with a Swiss if you have the funds cause a Swiss movement can be serviced and there are parts for it if it breaks. Daytona can be a very tricky watch depending on the movement. I would go with sub

I set the mic to what it came set and used the caseback to further insulate the sound which really worked great. and if I pulled the crown for 6 seconds wouldnt that just mean my watch is now slow 12 seconds out of the day!?!? lol

Well I've had an on going issue with an ETA running to slow so I decided to get the kello app and it actually saved a whole lot of time by making adjustments based on what kello is reading. I found that if you open the back and place your iPhones headphone mic directly over the hairspring and use the case back to sort of close it in you get very good solid quick readings every time. So far thanks to the app my watch has only gained a minute in 10 days. Not bad!!!!

BK is where its at for real if you want an LV his will be the last one you buy before stepping into gen territory

I asked BK to do a slightly taller gasket then what he normally uses. taller gasket=stronger date mag. the last time he swapped crystals the xstal was way to low and when he brought it up it did make the mag seem nice and presentable not so much on the weak side I think it was a 2.7mm

I could use one of these to put candles in or maybe use it to store rare coins but not to tell time! lol return it and get something less wokka

I've got my local source in town who I can go for parts for all my builds only little tiny issue was I did ask my guy for a SL insert and he accidentally got me one with tritium which no longer glows instead of C1-C3 which was no biggie I just sent it off for some PBdad treatment

Very cool only makes me more and more excited to get mine back from BK and PBdad. BK is installing gen crystal,insert,crown, and tube a long with clarks click spring. also I asked BK to use just a slightly taller gasket to give the date mag a little more pop lets hope that works

man is this sub a TW/WM9 killer!??! We gotta watch out for the under dogs

Im interested either way. I can live with no engravings on the end link as long as it means perfect SEL fit. also the problem I have with my end link is that it seats a little to LOW if you know what I mean. is the position of the support where the 2mm spring bar going to correct this?

TW best has an amazing bezel if you ask me. just swap a clarks click spring and it makes a real nice difference.

Are these end links going to be stamped or plain?
