  1. Not true guys. Most of the new G series (but not all) do have the correct cannon pinion but the hands are still the long tube type so the pin still looks recessed. Easy way to check is to measure the hour wheel (as that just lifts off). If it measures 2.15mm then you have the correct cannon pinion so what you will need to do is either get a set of Davidsens hands with the short tube or use a nail file to bring the rep hand tube down to .44mm high. Should not be difficult to do this with the painted hands but Gold hands are easily scratched.
  2. Of course the real improvement with this is the OP and serial numbers on the caseback. Why oh why does the newer 212 now have a sapphire crystal but still the same shitty caseback!! Fukkin hell it's annoying. Sapphire crystals are hopefully going to be available soon for these reps. I am awaiting a sample based on my designs in mineral and if all is well they will be made in sapphire fairly soon so keep a look out for updates on this.
  3. Well I am glad that we have finally concluded that the rep dial is in fact more accurate than the gen!!! Soon IWC will be found faking reps!!!
  4. No doubt it is a bargain. I saw a PAM 28 recently on TRC that was sold for $900 and the only things that were done was a PVD coat. I don't even think it was lumed. Certainly no new cyclops or datewheel (!!!!!) or crown etc. Your price is a steal for sure. What lens are you going to buy and for what camera?
  5. I think you're mad (we all are a bit!!) - but I totally understand.
  6. It's made form resin. It also has a wobbly head like the dog on the rear deck of a car!!!
  7. Not sure why you feel the need to replace the movt. These should run without any problems as there are no chrono features to worry about. It seems like an unecessary expense to me!! If it was a chrono movt then that would be different.
  8. It all seems a bit strange but the books look real!! Mind you where's the box?
  9. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PANERAI-MANUAL-BOOK-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. Very nice indeed - remove the REG TM - you have the skills to do it I know!!!!
  11. TTK's version is the same as everyone elses - there is only one maker of this, just his photography that is different (and better).
  12. @Marco - many thanks for the compliment. As for these gen crystals - just be warned that they are going to go for quite a lot of money and we have no idea if the will fit the case and you cannot go chopping them up to make them fit. Our watches look similar but are not constructed the same way so my best advice is to not bother with them - I certainly won't be!! @Leitztozeiss - There should be a white nylon I compression ring in the bezel of your watch (unless you have taken it out it's fitted in a groove on the inside of the top of the bezel) so if Davidsens crystal does not fit with that in place then it's too small.
  13. Something is still happening with this one guys - I have not given up yet!! I hope to receive a mineral sample to see if the shape and dimensions are correct then if all well we will have our sapphires soon.
  14. Should be the same.
  15. A thousand and one!!!!! Beginning to run out of things to do - now where did I put that prototype CG!!!!!!!
  16. 7753 is too late but the others should be plenty to go around. As soon as they are closer to coming out I will make a post and take provisional orders.
  17. Don't jump too fast - something might be happening very soon with these crystals. More will be posted as soon as it is available.
  18. Hello. Still another 29 posts to go!
  19. Ah - Ginger Lynne!! I love you!!!
  20. A PAM welcome from Knightsbridge (only work there not live which is why I have reps!!!)
  21. Welcome along - if the watch was being worn by a boxer you might advise him to take it off first but any watch - mechanical or otherwise should be able to withstand the rigours of the golf swing!!
  22. The so called P1 version without the chronos is another good example if this movt. I have one in my 024 and 087 - both very accurate and running fine. The 024 I have had for 6 months now.
  23. Rolli - nothing wrong at all with yours - just pokin a bit of fun at you!! Actuallly mine were just blasted with bead only. The 009 looks darker because of the lighting in the photo. The 028 photo is pretty accurate colour wise and all you readers will be able to see the slightly purple hue that is talked about with TiALN PVD.
  24. Well I spoke to the printers again today - and the 7753 problems are acknowledged and being corrected. We should get them back mid-end next week. So as soon as these are sorted the 2893's will be done. The wheels are all in stock and sitting there ready so hopefully it will be this year!! Only kidding (or am I???)
