  1. I think it is a fun idea. We should make guesses as to when this will end. I bet this will easily go on for at least a month while it is fresh and new, and reasonably I bet it will go on for a year. We'll check back in around this time in 2016 to see how it's going. Even if we all catch on to it and make a mass agreement not to post in the thread to let the timer run down to close to zero, there is no way to prevent new people from coming in and posting to get it to restart all over again.
  2. Too funny. I logged in and went into my profile. Somehow there were several members put in there as people I am following. One of whom was a completely random name that has only posted 8 times in 2 years and doesn't even have an avatar. Last active in 2014!! I have never set up anything to follow anyone, so it must be related to the new design. This should take care of it. Thanks again for the tip.
  3. Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out when I can log in from my computer. B)
  4. Better keep your 6538 and 5513 safely locked away! LOL
  5. This is so bizarre. I'm still receiving notifications for every single post you make here, regardless of the area. I feel like a complete stalker. LOL :lol:Seriously, anything you do I'm getting alerts for it. Nobody else, so somehow I got linked to you.
  6. Yes, but that's not the point. It doesn't matter if you post 1000 times or only once. Whoever is the last person to post before the timer runs out wins. There is a secret timer ticking away in the background and every time someone posts it resets. Sooooo the logical solution is to stop posting. This experiment literally could never end, like the neverending word association thread over on RG. I think that was the point. It could go on for 10 years with no winner if people keep posting in the thread. We already know the time limit is longer than 60 minutes, based on the posting activity overnight. Therefore, it would be in all our interests to stop posting and experiment with letting that timer run lower before posting again. B)
  7. With the Puretime version the date window is in the ETA position. I'm not sure about the others, but that is why the cyclops is shifted when using that particular version. My guess is the others are also the same, especially if they come with ETA movements. With that being said, people have used gen spec crystals and have said it really isn't that big of a deal. The quality improvement of the crystal itself makes up for the slightly off-kilter position. I personally really like the look of the T19, so I lean that direction!
  8. Classic! So one of our experienced shoe buying members gives sage advice on a legit site to use, gets reprimanded for offering his opinion about the subject (which he knows about) and then it turns out in the end that the OP meant the same site!:rolleyes:B):P
  9. Just put a T-19 on there and you won't have any issues. B) I know it is with the Puretime version and the one that Ryan sources, but I am not sure about Josh or Andrew's.
  10. Oh cool! That was exactly it. I was subscribed to the general discussion area. I think it just happened to be that I noticed it whenever you posted and I mistakenly thought I was stalking you! B):D ha ha
  11. This is really bizarre. Somehow after this update I am receiving notifications every time @Droptopman posts in a thread! ;)B) LOL, don't get me wrong, they are always great posts and threads, but how can I get un-linked just so I don't receive all the notifications? Is there a setting I clicked or something? This started happening right after the system update.
  12. Is it possible to remove the restriction on "liking" someone's post? I tried to like a post this afternoon and it said I was blocked and I am only allowed to do this 5 times in one day. I don't quite understand why I can only like 5 posts during the course of a day. Other forums allow me to like as many posts as I want. I know you have much bigger fish to fry, but if you get to the end of the tweaks and are looking for little things to do, this would be a good one. Thanks for the hard work!
  13. Hey droptopman - can I get the contact info for that lens refinishing/replacement company? I don't need the service at the moment, but it would be nice to have their contact info handy for future use in case anything major were to happen to my glasses. Do they also work on lenses from other manufacturers?
  14. With classic styles and well made clothing, this is absolutely top notch and smart advice. Burberry trenches are so well made that they will last for decades - literally. My dad got his most recent one in the early 1980s in London and it is still in fantastic condition from daily wear. My parents bought me one for college graduation 21 years ago. Full length, top of the line trench with the removable liner for winter/summer use. It is so classic that it will never go out of style. With that said, I hardly ever wear it because I work from home. :P Maybe there is a quality difference now, or maybe some of you have bought lower end stuff, but the top of the line Burberry from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s is excellent. The stitching and fabrics are fantastic and they wear extremely well. Cheap stuff will fray and begin to wear out quickly from daily use. Suits, jackets, sport coats, things like this are all over the place second hand. Estate sales, Ebay, consignment shops...
