  1. I reported it I can't let someone spend that kind of money on crap
  2. You sound like jeremy clarkson talking about the stig!
  3. Going to my ad later (gambard) ill ask if he has one. (7965 spacer)
  4. Looking good Tats! He made me this 'fantasy piece at the same time.. I still love it. He's awesome
  5. Have my eye on this one http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Rolex-6538-Submariner-4-Line-Big-Crown-James-Bond-Watch-Steel-Refinished-Dial-/380567152990?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item589b91e95e&_uhb=1#ht_13772wt_1026 But, every collector prob does too
  6. I saw it but 5k! This needs a new dial mid case hands and bezel. There's nothing there! A crown and movement for 5k!?? Can that case be salvaged?
  7. You don't need to remove anything. You can glue a new pearl on very easily
  8. "No matter what you put it in, she's going to love it!" Very true!
  9. Yes absolutely excluding the PN's as the gen dials for those are 50k! I agree with you about phong's conversion but if a reg non converted v72 is used it's good enough imo.
  10. Dw's a7750 daytonas don't have the rotor but it HAS to go to spinmaster to finalize the conversion to a manual wind. Dw only removes the rotor, there are a few more steps required for a full manual conversion.
  11. To add, I also have the opinion that making a v72 based daytona and not using a gen dial is a crime. Putting a rep dial on a v72 daytona is like putting a Ferrari engine in a ford. It makes no sense. Having said that a gen dial is in the 2000$ range. If you're not prepared to do that don't bother with a v72 version, contact spin and get a great sub 1000$ a7750 version that will be rock solid. He puts a gen plexi and crown and better more gen like pushers. So for me it's either make a v72 right with a gen dial etc, which will blow your budget wide open, or spend 1k and have something really cool and well made, but don't put a rep dial on a v72 please.
  12. You forgot the 300+$ he will have to pay spin to assemble it all unless of course he will do it himself. Kind of hard without a few important tools and knowhow
  13. 4k! I just choked on my caviar, lol that's really way too much. 2x too much
  14. That's really true I tried to bid on a gen set of gilt 6538 hands. Price sat at 820 for a while and I placed my highest bid of 1400$ with 10 seconds left and was outbid. I won't pay more than that. Win some lose some
  15. Who is Natalie? Can't believe I don't know one of the parts suppliers, though I knew them all. His are 350 with insert but that's a lot, if hers are less I'd love to give one a try
  16. I still think phong's bezels are best. They are made in bronze with a stainless coating. I used a sander and removed the outer layer and voila, a perfect 6538/5510 bezel very very gen like.
  17. For sure, there's value in the movement and band.
  18. I can send you one but the metal kind, just pm me your co-ordinates.
  19. The case is not gen obv, the movement looks ok, but there's no magnetic shield. I can't really tell if the dial is real (too dark) but my guess would be no. The insert and bezel is fake. The band and clasp is real!
  20. This one is nice http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Rolex-Vintage-Embroidered-Jewellery-Watch-Box-60-01-2-Ladies-100-Authentic-/321060907333?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4ac0b8a945&_uhb=1#ht_3472wt_962 I don't think the box has to be correct for your model in this case. I believe that in her mind that doesn't matter
  21. Be creative, women like that. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/VTG-RUSSIAN-BLACK-LAQUER-WOODEN-WOOD-BOX-LADIES-WORKING-TRINKET-JEWELRY-/200884104936?pt=Antiques_Decorative_Arts&hash=item2ec5a02ee8&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_689 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SALE-Delightful-vintage-lacquer-wooden-jewellery-box-inlaid-abalone-bird-gilded-/261160610553?pt=UK_Antiques_DecorativeAntiques_Collectables_EH&hash=item3cce62aaf9&_uhb=1#ht_8478wt_932 Or you can get a vintage rolex box http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Rolex-Vintage-Watch-Red-Box-Large-Leather-60-00-02-Metal-Logo-100-Authentic-/321060910016?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4ac0b8b3c0&_uhb=1#ht_2768wt_962 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/VINTAGE-ROLEX-BOX-FROM-THE-40-50TH-IN-GOOD-CONDITION-VERY-RARE-ROLEX-BOX-/121059392557?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c2fb3bc2d&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_922
  22. Lol, it actually comes with a video of how to change the strap!
  23. Description from wyler However, a special compartment in the luxury watch box, finished in shrunk leather, contains a special Dakar strap in the same leather, embossed with the cheich logo and Dakar inscription. The compartment also includes the screwdriver for opening the inner case back to change the strap and two Allen keys for removing the foldover clasp, as well as a USB stick with video instructions on how to change the strap. This not only gives the owner a choice of two totally different looks, it also allows them to see first-hand one example of the robustness of the watch, since the strap is fixed directly to the case with screws that pass through the upper and lower tantalum plates. Looks like you need a tiny tork screwdriver as the band seems to be removed by removing the really small screws on the backplate..
