  1. Etaswiss is $460 parts only. TC is $505 whole watch.
  2. Very nice! They have their pros and cons and you nailed them.
  3. Is this already a gen insert?
  4. @OP, Sean case is really good, as in really top there. But starting with $460 without a good movement + building cost and it goes up. Your best bet now is TW but if you want value for the buck go for TC. Crown and cyrstal are okay, it's just the insert.
  5. Yeah, inquired again. Prices are a bit steep and small difference. I'll join you guys and wait for the 2nd (hopefully more reliable) version.
  6. For me, I got the bigger ETA2824 movement.
  7. Yes, separate movement alone is not available yet.
  8. It comes with the whole watch.
  9. So is that a gen insert?
  10. Although the insert has much to be desired, the TC case is topnotch and can go toe-to-toe with the big boys.
  11. You're now a friend of mine for this Ebay reminder. Thanks!
  12. WM9 v4, TC, or whatever you wanna call it, this is it guys. Let's get these into our hands.
  13. We have to thank BK for responding here. I don't think you're thread hijacking but actually adding valuable info to this already hot topic. Let's face it. If and when the TC sub finally arrives in our hands, it will definitely take the biggest share of the demand market with its supposed taking of gen movement, dial, hands and better SEL. It's not even an issue of supply. The high demand that it will generate because of its best features will and can make it in the WM9 second-hand market price range in the future due to its rarity. But that doesn't mean BK is done. I actually do think he will (pardon to putting this on the third person BK) evolve and will build a better 99.9% sub.. Remember, never underestimate the guy with talent. In the not so far future, we will be able to see a TC sub case (or whatever you wanna call it) with an improved SA3135 movement perfected by BK. That is only a matter of time. And it will benefit us all here.
  14. So we're back to the Sean case as the standard.
  15. You mean the one posted on Ebay?
  16. I have cash, I wanna know who's king.
  17. I wanna know that too TC as posted by its_urabus re back SEL quality.
  18. Chefcook / its_urabus: Guys, would the SA3135 dial fit the Sean case? Not enough cash to buy the gen dial....
  19. Ok chefcook, great contribution! I can't thank you enough. I wish I could only buy Sean's case and clasp but it's a whole set. I can live with it. All other parts can be gen sourced.
  20. Okay chefcook, I'll take that into consideration. How about the rest of the Sean parts? I understand the insert, crown, bracelet, and clasp are very good. Except for the SEL which I'll fall in line from you
  21. Count me in chefcook. I need a pair!
  22. Chefcook, I know this has already been answered in your post but just wanna reconfirm: The SA3135 movement from Puretime fitted into the Sean case without much work, correct? Also, how's the crystal height of the original Sean crystal? I plan to use it. Your project is way super for me. Thanks much for doing this project before any of us spend big bucks.
  23. Damn, yeah, I just saw the other Sean case thread. Would a Sean case + TC bracelet (if ever he'll offer them) be a better fit? Or just go for a Noob bracelet?
  24. Nice, mate! How about the SEL? Is it better than the TW/WM9 when it comes to end links?
  25. Thank you its_urabus for the help. The Sean case seems to be superior. What mods are needed for this Sean case and bracelet to be closest to the gen?
