  1. Just wanted to spot that the GMT pointer it's not the only flaw on these hands. The minutes hand is slightly too narrow on the rep. On this pic you can see the difference. So, in c ase we would manage to let David remaking the hands properly, also the minutes one should be re done. Other little flaws: - Same as usual, crown, cyclops and date font. - As you can see, the line between #18 and small seconds dial, is missing on rep. - The type "L swiss made L", it's not perfect, as it is too big and below 12, rather than besides. - Unfortunately, my favorite 089, also has totally wrong dial color, as the gen has anthracite dial and not black, or brown.
  2. Here is a zoom that shows how crsp the numbers are. The start is good, now the following steps will need to be good as well.
  3. People who don't like this watch, must be people who don't like Panerai, as this has in it a concentrate of the Panerai best: Sandwitch dial, 1950 case, 8 days PR indicator, noght/day display, GMT and manual winding... What more do you want to see in a watch?
  4. As I see you guys are very into the lume matter, can I ask you how long should last the glow in totally dark, to be considered good as gen Pams?
  5. I'm touched by your support my friends! This great interest will gime me the strenght to carry on on this project. To be honest, I wouldn't have done this, if I didn't get in touch with this new printer, as the previous one created me so many troubles. Are you wondering why I'm doing it? The answer is that I miss those times when I was the Pam crown's hero So, I'd like to make something useful to the community and I want to wash away the shame for those imperfections on my DW of the past. :knight:
  6. Guys.., this time if it won't be more than perfect, I won't even tell you it's printed, you can be sure about it. I'm not sure yet how much this new printer will ask me, but if it will cost as the previous one (I don't really think it could be more expensive than that), they will cost around 40 euros. And believe me, I won't have profit from this in the end, as it will be enough for me not to sell a few, to not recup the expences.
  7. UPDATE Aug 01 - 2007 Hi guys, as you maybe already know, I finally have in my hands, ready to be shipped, the second run of Ingy DWs. I have the following preorder list: Z3k0 - PAMman - matic7750 - Eunomians - palhaco02 - Stephane (2) - matic7750 - grisgris8 - trekracer20 - ATXKId - Nebakanezzar - rhes4 - Pam - trekracer20 If I forgot somebody I apologize, because I couldn't reply to all the pms during the last few days. Just let me know if somebodyelse is missing up here. However, this is just a preorder list. These people have the priority, but they will need to make the payment to get the DW. If these 20 available pieces won't be enough, do not be too worried, because I will print another bunch in september. My Paypal is: mail@leonellocalvetti.com Price for this DW (with double layer attached on wheel) is 54

I downloaded the font, but it's only slightly similar, so no helpful. Thanks anyway. The DW scan it was attached here in this post, it is actually very distorted and so it's only good as a sample. Experience tells me that to make these DW, there are not shortcuts, but you have to make perfect graphics. It's hard to get a final print even with perfect files, can you imagine if we start with something not perfect? However, I'm making it with good results, here is a portion.
  9. You're right. But I'm curious, which is your favorite Pam though?..., maybe it's the worse for me.
  10. Hope is the last one to die! Perhaps, a 7750 with a couple of modifies... I don't think it would be a very diffucult task for the producers..., it should be an eccentric fulcrum on the PR wheel at 5, with a leverage driving the horizontal hand in the slit. Plus an additional wheel over the seconds at 9, to switch day and night. I'm i saying uncanny things?
  11. We should use a special machine to do that (especially to put it back actually). On some of my Pams, I managed to remove the crystal by simply pushing hard with thumbs from the inside of case and opposite resistance by the forefingers, but you have to push very hard!
  12. How much are you going to pay for the Swiss 7750?
  13. This watch will be my dream from now on... Would it be possible to make the 8 days power reserve + GMT, by the 21J
  14. Maybe you know this already, but I couldn't stop myself in sharing with you these pics. If they would ever make the rep of it..., all the other Pams, would be just for the countdown to that moment!
  15. Sure, I installed immediately after I bought them, almost a year a go. They fit perfectly and then you need sunglasses for the Tritium glow. Which strap are you going to put there? Did you see my post where I'm showing the gen strap I bought?
  16. I need to reply to this post, because we share the same deep love for the gorgeous 063. I'm also doing all I can to make it as better as possible. Just to don't let you feel alone TK471, I also purchased the gen hands several months a go, from Adm-co. Now I just got a gen strap from the Panerai boutique here in Florence. I'm waiting to receive the new powerful cyclops and the new crown from Tommy. The dial is out for re lume. In the end it's going to cost a fortune, but this is what we are here for..., or not? The cyclops size on this model, for what I know is 6mm, as it was made before year 2000. After 2000, the cyclops size has been increased little by little until 7mm on the recent models. I will show pics of mine too, after it will be ready, hopefully in a week, or so.
  17. Dear all, I apologize if I'm asking something already discussed, but you know I've been away for some time and may have missed it. Does anybody know if there are any further differences/improvements, between the two 024, 21J and 7750 versions, besides the movement, i.e. sapphire, solid back, more detailed bezel movement, glow power or better finish, etc? I'm wondering the same for the 199. I'm asking because I would prefer getting the 024, but with scale on bezel and this version is only available with Asian 21J. In alternative, if I will know about further improvementsm besides the mov, I could decide to get the 199, which has the scale on bezel, on the 7750 version. Thank you for any suggestion.
  18. Thank you for your support my friend..., now I feel better!
  19. You are surely right... The thing is that I already tried a couple of other cheaper straps and although they were good quality straps, they didn't look like a Panerai genuine one and this was so frustrating for me that in the end I decide to get a real deal, even knowing that I was paying double of its real value. Finally it looks as a gen.
  20. ...This is what I've been always thinking. I started to believe they were different, because I was reading here on RWG about it. But how would it be possible, as a few experts have been working on this issue, without realize they were the same DW? Are you sure Bob Frei can't be in error?
  21. This is not actually a book, but an agenda, but inside there are also several pages with pictures and text very interesting. Unfortunately it is in italian language, but I will post the most interesting pics.
  22. Hi Mark, I'm glad you reply to this post. I well understand your feeling, as it was exactly what I felt at the time, when after so many troubles, expenses and bad results, I preferred put myself on a side, unless untill I would have succeed, so that I wouldn't keep illusing anybody about something that I couldn't be sure it would never be working. You are partially right when you say that, as you didn't see me around anymore, you felt free to start working on the same DW project. But, as my registration was never deleted on RWG, it was enough if you sent me a PM, that would come to my email and so I could have known. But now these are things that belongs to the past, I've never thought you made anything so wrong. I just hope you also now can understand me, that after all those problems and time wasted, I finally managed to get them printed right. Only you can well understand what this means. Now, why don't we find an acceptable solution, that would allow me to recover some losses and that in the meantime, wouldn't create losses to you as well. This problem it's actually only on the 2893 datewheel and maybe the 2892, but as they have not been printed it yet (they were printed, but they didn't come perfect on the last run) and so, I could try to stop the printer in doing them. Regarding the 7753, I could try to see if through my spare parts official dealer, ETA would be willing to release some blank disks. If I would manage to get them, we could make an agreement between us and I could send the disks to you for the print. If your printer really uses a better cliché and the result would be better than mine, this would have sense. What do you think?
  23. To cskent69: as you maybe have noticed, I'm working on the IWC Ingenier DW. One of these days I will make a post and see how much interest there is around. If you can give me some references and informations (mov models, ref pics of gen numbers etc...), about the Breitling, I will see if working on those as well.
