Ok so he gets my grace. Time a bomb with a casio is much more effective then a mechanical watch. Id say the war against quartz terror really needs a higher priority level.
Meybe he use different name for same item, the v23 clone is known on the forums as the mystery movement and it does have the exact subdial spacing as the v72.
In any case, if it was a true clone of the v72, the subdial at 6 does not need freezing.
It can happen. Just keep an eye out on the sales section. From time to time they are being offered by members.
If you really run cold turkey you can opt for the TW best BK is currently offering its the best you can get without being patient (though BK is a busy man).
Good luck!
Ah thanks for clarifeing i always thought anything scrwed to a plate was called a bridge. But i have never seen a one fixed bridge in real life so it does seen logical
Thanks!
The ring does not need bending.
The ring has 2 sides, one side with the 3 springs is the up side. The other side has 1 tiny lip which goes into the hole in the case at 12.
On the forums they are known as TW best. MBW, EL, River, TTK and also wm9 George sold them. So in a way you can call it a wm9, but on the forums wm9 subs refer to the latest 3 iterations. which appearantly where exclusive to wm9 george.
Same niple dial as yours (ie the lume is rised within the metalic circle.
Note: mine is slightly modded, the crown guards are shaved and the crown changed. Mine has open six and nine datewheel.
Sounds like TW best/MBW to me, 2006 there was little gen like construction.
I have one like described, offset swiss made, lug-holes, no engraving at all, but no gen like bezel. A gen insert wont fit sanse mod. It is 8 years old.
[Edit posted before seeing the pics]
It is tw best for shure, no gen bezel, but a nice watch still. Enjoy! Will post pics of mine tomorrow.
Agreed, they don't come cheap as there is little option. Movement alone > 800 euros. Genuine 16520 parts very expensive. Dial > 500 euros. But it can be done < 3000 euro with aftermarket parts.
I hope DW wil be able to produce case set at reasonable prices ranged like the vintage daytonas sets.
Which makes me wonder what the set-back is on the phong case.
Nice project
It is too much, but the chinese making a statement here, 2 types of tourbies.
Its more a showcase as to how the chinese have evolved in micro mechanics.
