  1. Loving those cufflinks - where did you get them?
  2. Why don't I ever get an XJ8 as a loaner, instead of a Toyota Aygo. I swear that thing has a hairdryer where the engine is supposed to go.
  3. The titanium po 45 is up there with the super-reps. I've worn mine in the Omega boutique in Geneva airport!
  4. Thanks Guys. The ceramic dial on my D-blue is the only one I have seen on a rep, and I love the shiny finish to it. Noob listings of V7 watches mention platinum infill on the ceramic bezels, whilst the V6s listing does not. However I've read elsewhere that even the V6 ceramic bezels do have the platinum infill. How would you rate the V6s bezel against a V7?
  5. Folks, Hot on the heels of two really good purchases (Tudor Pelagos & NF DSSD D-Blue) I'm eyeing up a sub. I've decided it has to be a noob but can't decide between a V6s 114060 NoDate and my thinking swings between these two points of view Get the V6S nodate: http://www.pf-818.com/-p-18386.html I love the aesthetics of the nodate - the symmetry and lack of cyclops. I'm *really* not a fan of the cyclops. I emailed Joshua and he has no idea about a V7 114060 in the pipeline. I wear my watches on weekly rotation and don't really worry about setting the datewheel. It is simple and elegant. Get the V7 116610: http://www.pf-818.com/-p-20029.html It's a V7 and the build quality will likely be on a par with my d-blue, including the fabulous shiny bezel and platinum painted numerals. It's available now, and it makes the most of the 2836 movement (i.e. the datewheel). It will also have the right end-link markings, and have fewer tells. What do you reckon?
  6. Oooh! I love the look of that. Could I ask two things: -Has it got the glidelock clasp adjuster? -How much does it weigh?
  7. Are you happy with it? Got any wristies?
  8. Indeed - I just emailed Joshua to see if he knows anything about an NF V7 114060. I am happy to wait (well I'm not really but I will!)
  9. Sorry yes I meant JF! Have you got one or are you going from pics?
  10. I'd go with Noob factory version. They are turning out very good watches at the moment
  11. Title says it all really - I'm very interested in this watch and would love to hear from anyone that has one in hand.
  12. I know! I've only seen the gen watch in pictures where they remove the glass or do something to reduce reflections from the wonderful dial! The bigger problem is that I'm so blown away by the quality of the NF V7 I'm wanting to see what else NF are making. I'm quite taken by the JF 114600 and if NF did a version of this I would certainly be wanting it.
  13. My D-Blue arrived today. Lovely lovely lovely! I took my time setting up the strap and adjuster just right. It's heavy but because you can get such a good fit, it wears just as well as my steel Omega PO 45. Been wearing it all day since it arrived. Blue is darker than I thought, but that's good because on casual glance under a shirt cuff it just looks like a black dial. Only thing I hadn't realised is that there is no AR on the glass, but actually it just adds to the shininess of the watch.
  14. Thanks - 2836 based D-blue just ordered from Joshua!
  15. Brilliant. Josh's site was down briefly last night, so I went to Trusytime where they have more bracelet pics and I saw the glidelock details - but always better to get info from a real source. Final question I promise - which movement did you go for? 2836 or 3135. I'm more interested in longevity than fidelity, especially with the pound taking a beating like it just has, I suspect I will only be able to buy 1 rep a year (2 this year being a leap year )
  16. Richard Thank you so much! Could I ask about the Glidelock you have on your DSSD rep. I looked at Josh's listing and it makes no mention of this. Does it have the gen DSSD type glidelock which can be adjusted without even taking the watch off the wrist, or is it the newest Sub nodate type glidelock that can be adjusted off the wrist but needs no tools. I think if I have any form of tool-free micro adjustment I'll get it as it will allow me to optimise the fit during the day.
  17. I got the black V6 version (too many blue Omegas) and it's a stunner!
  18. Glad you are enjoying the watch - wear it well! I'm also taken by the D-Blue, having just spent my 'annual' rep allowance on a Tudor Pelagos. I'm just worried about it going on my flat 7.5 inch wrist. I wear my rep Omega planet ocean 45mm Titanium which weighs in at 145g and is 16.5mm deep day-in-day-out. I also can wear the steel version of the same watch, which is comfortable but a little heavy for wearing round the clock. Would it be possible for you to weigh yours at some point? I know a gen DSSD weighs about 212g. Thanks N
  19. I just saw this on Joshua's site too. The blue-black dial is just stunning! Interested to see some wristies when it comes. I've not seen a DSSD in the flesh. How do they wear compared to a sub?
  20. Curt Thanks for the wristy. What is your overall impression of the rep? Also, how would you rate the lume and the finishing of the bezel?
