  1. I've had mine a week and loving it too - darker shade of ti bracelet makes it look more stealthy and matches my skin tone better than steel. I've had Ti watches before so wasn't thrown by the weight. When mine arrived the extension mechanism wasn't quite seated properly in the clasp, meaning I couldn't get the clasp to sight right and close tight. I reseated it and have had no problems since then. Also engraving on the clasp is nice and deep, unlike on my steel 45mm UPO. @Doublewristed : I agree a 42mm Ti Po would be a very fine thing, but there's no gen 42 and no rep 42 either!
  2. This used to be my grail watch for a while, until I went off the whole Quartz thing. I contacted Joshua to ask him if he could get hold of one for me. He said no, and the sites that list them are using pictures of Gens. I looked extensively and whilst there were a few sterile dial versions that looked okay there was always something not quite right about them. I would save a search on Ebay and see if a decent one comes up. The Superquartz movement was quite the innovation at the time the watch was released. N
  3. My Ti PO arrived yesterday and I got to unbox it last night. I have to say the finish on it is really good. Pearl is centre and low, flat and flush to the bezel, unlike my previous generation 45mm UPO. Bezel detail and knurling is really nice. I like the bracelet a lot. The low weight of bracelet and caseset means that it wears like a 42mm watch in terms of wrist drag. Also I normally soften the edges of a steel bracelet with some wet & dry and I did not have to do this for the titanium bracelet.Engraving of omega logo on clasp is nice and deep. The green and blue lume are actually quite close in colour in real life. All in all, very impressed.
  4. Asked Joshua and he said bracelet is easy to resize. I placed my order and hope I will get one of the second batch with the improved AR. Can't wait!
  5. Guys Just about to pull the trigger on the tipo but I just wanted to check one thing. Are the screws on the bracelet links used to resize the bracelet? On my 45 UPO I had a hell of a time trying to resize the bracelet and took it to the watch repair guy in the end. It will be a lot easier if I can resize it with a screwdriver. Thanks N
  6. Liquid metal logo on the caseback. Hardly a biggy!
  7. Pearl looks flatter than on my PO. Placement is good. Damn these new generations of PO's are nice. I'm in Geneva for work at the moment, and the guy sat next to me on the place had what looked like a gen 45mm PO with the liquid metal bezel. Pearl on his looked a little high!
  8. Thanks. Full Ti must be awesome! Does it wear better than steel?
  9. Seraphe Thanks for posting the pics. I have a 45mm steel PO which is lovely but a little heavy, and I have always wanted a Ti Omega. Can I ask how the finish compares to steel, and if the whole caseset, bracelet and clasp are titanium? Also if you could post the weight your watch I would be very grateful. N
  10. Guys, I've always wanted a Ti Omega, and toyed with getting a refurbished gen seamaster Ti last year. Can you confirm that the caseset, strap and clasp are all Ti? Also how does the Ti finish compare to steel? Thanks N
  11. Geneva Airport is even worse. the salespeople might be very easy on the eye but they don't know very much about their products. A guy at the Hublot stand wanted a black Hublot and salesperson said they don't make all black ones except for the Tourbillion. when he had walked away from the stand I showed him a picture of an Aero bang all black 2 on my PC.
  12. Your QC pics should show the shipping label. Which courier was shown on the QC Pics. If you haven't had QC pics then it may just be a delay to get the watch in for you. What did you order?
  13. PP Nautilus 5711/1A. Sellita movement won't fool anyone with the Calatrava logo stuck on, but it is reliable. Achingly beautiful dress watch. In fact, I am going upstairs to put mine on right now!
  14. That is sweet! There are sooooo many beautiful design features on this bike it's unreal. We have family friends that live in Chippenham, UK. Sometimes we go up to Castle Combe to watch the race meets. Lots of nice Ducatis screaming round the track. Of course yours can eat up the miles on an open road too! BW and thanks for sharing. N
  15. Yep. Bell & Ross and Porsche Design watches don't seem to float peoples boats, which is a shame. They are less common, and less expensive to own the gen, so less likely to be called. The popular reps that are built with reference so dissected gens (you know, the ones that say 'Superlumed with pixie dust' or ' AR done by Kristin Kreuk's bosoms') always have a tell on them. I've handled gens of BR02 and BR03s in Geneva airport and mine come very close indeed. P.S. No way my wrist shot is going to be as good as yours!
  16. Does Pansexual mean that looking at pictures of Panerais gives you a third leg?
  17. The MM20 doesn't do it for me but the PO and the Diavel certainly do. Have you gone for the stealth black finish on the Diavel? I ordered a Bell & Ross BR03 from Josh last week. Now he's using DHL not EMS and it was 7 days from QC pics to having the watch in my hands in the UK, and zero customs hassles. PO is a solid rep - only thing to watch out for on the QC PICS IMHO is the position of the pearl on the bezel.. Somethimes it can sit too high or too low. I was super lucky with mine and the position was spot on. BW N
  18. Feeling your pain. Hope the money comes back soon, and you have some way to get this guys b@lls on a plate. I do hope you get a Gen copy of your Breit, but I suspect the only way to be 100% sure is at an AD. I've seen Breits on sale in Costco in the UK and the guys on the forum said they aren't real. This is from a bricks and mortar establishment! N
  19. Heart on the left Watch on the left Hang to the left!
  20. Folks, After a long and enforced break from rep buying, I got myself an early Chrsitmas present which was a Bell & Ross BR3 Type Aviation asian 2824 from Joshua: http://www.1-pc8838.com/br03ta01011-br03-type-aviation-ssru-black-asian-2824-p-10098.html For me this is perfect. I thought about trying to save u for a used Gen BR03, but I had a problem. I love the styling of the type aviation series but I hated the quartz displays. gold on black LCD numerals are just too dim and it restricts you to a quartz movement. NOt acceptable for a watch that's over £2.5k. I came across this on Josh's web site, and I don;t know why I had not noticed it before. For me it is perfect. You get the nice styling of the type aviation series with the modern numerals, and the 'cut away' hands that show the dial through the middle, and that lovely bezel. Watch arrived in 7 days courtesy of Joshua's new DHL based delivery with no hassles from customs. I've had some really cr@ppy BR03 reps before that were too thick, or had poor movements, but this one wears really well, and the thin case makes up for the squared off profile. AR is very good. Only downside is that the lume is weak. Quality wise I would give this super rep status, but for the fact that of course it is a mashup of a BR03-92 and a BR03-TA and so there isn't a gen version that corresponds to it. Given that it is not a Rolex / Omega orBreit I think the chances of being called out are pretty slim. Will post some wristies soon. N
  21. Guys Was looking through the list at Jura Watches for a late Christmas present for myself when I cam across this SevenFriday P1 for 700 GBP. http://www.sevenfriday.com/ Seems like this is the brainchail of some rich Zurich businessman's son who decided to go out and design a completely bonkers watch. It's a Jap movement, which I don't mind for the price, but there is something about the styling that says 'oooh that looks like some real high end loveliness and certainly would be the talking point at a dinner table'. Then I look again and I think it's big, square and just plain strange. I can't ever remember having such a love/hate reaction to a watch. Would value your thoughts N
  22. Kevin, I'd back what Adeodatus said. The Bell & Ross BR02 is a really good low cost rep. I have slim wrists but the elongated shape of the BR02 means it wears well. Bell & Ross is a 'young' brand and would suit a younger wearer, and you can wear it with jeans. How many 19 year olds wear a Rolex anyhow. I got the one with arabic numerals, but the spacing on the numerals is a little out. Get the version with dot markers for the hours and it is all good. N
  23. V happy with DJII. I'd go for the Jubilee bracelet.
